Additionally for spring framework (last chapter), demonstrating how OpenAPI objects map to Spring Boot controllers—specifically how requestBody becomes @RequestBody DTOs and response schemas map to ResponseEntity—would provide a clearer end-to-end understanding from contract to implementation. This course was good. The instructor details open API specification going through examples. One thing I was looking for is missing though. The biggest problem with OpenAPI and swagger is, when you generate stub code, you can't edit it because it will be overwritten when you generate it again. So you need to add your business logic without touching these files. It would be nice to cover this. The instructor mentions, 'When your API is complete, generate stub codes' that is not realistic. An API is never complete, if it is complete, there are no developers working on it, so there is no need to generate code.

Хороший курс по Open API. По ходу курса становится понятно в чем разница между Open API и Swagger. Open API - стандарт, а Swagger - это коммерческий проект, который разрабатывает различные инструменты для удобной работы с Open API. До этого пользовался только Swagger UI и хоть в курсе этому уделено совсем немного времени, мне все равно стало понятнее как работать с Open API как по отдельности так и в рамках того же Spring. Рекомендую данный курс!

Summary:- i really got mastered and outstanding knowledge in open api within 10 days (daily 2 hrs with practice) i really got lot of knowledge initially when i saw open api in my project, i got fear as i didnt understand even single line, now after 10 days Pros 1) with this course i am even able to find the bugs in existing open api yaml spec also 2) Madan's teaching English is very good cool and understandable 3) definitely we can get sound open api knowledge 4) covered all concepts with examples cons no specific cons

Don't expect the instructor to build a project in Java + Spring Boot + OpenAPI, but a sample project is provided at the end. No prior knowledge is needed – just a laptop/computer and a browser. The instructor is helpful, answering even basic questions like syntax indentation. For future syntax issues, consider using large language models like ChatGPT or Bard (Gemini) to save time. I completed the lectures and wrote the code myself, even fixing a minor syntax error through trial and error. Thanks for a wonderful course!

The course gives the participant a good overview of probably all of the essential aspects of version 3.0 of the OpenApi Specification. As far as I know, the new features of version 3.1 are not yet covered. Nevertheless, I have the feeling that I now know OpenApi Specification quite well. I have two suggestions for improvement if the course were to be updated: * The use of components should be introduced earlier, this would save some redundancies in terms of content and therefore also participation time. It would also be easier to follow the “live specifying” procedure. * Some of the slides shown in the course contain a lot of text in small font. I would suggest splitting up some of these slides.
