Course Description

Welcome to the course ‘PHP For Beginners’ In this course we will go step by step to digest all the basics topics in PHP, so if you are looking for a quick and understandable way to become a master in PHP, this is a perfect course to start with. Most of the sections will have programming exercises and at the end of every section, I will be making the exercises to show you the solutions! The reason why I think it’s important to make the exercises is because you can only learn PHP by DOING IT!

We will also be looking at the basics of MySQL Database since the final section of this course is inserting data in a table, then we will be outputting the data from the table in the browser, and then we will be creating our own login and register script!

In the beginning years when I started programming, I came across so many videos and tutorials where tutors would’ve just create the code without explaining it and I always wondered “why are you doing it this way”? Therefore, I try to give you examples why you should use this method instead of another method and I try to give you real life examples.

This course is created in a logical order to make you a PHP hero in on time! The course has been divided into the following main sections:

1. Introduction

2. Variables and Data Types

3. Operators in PHP

4. Control structures

5. Functions in PHP

6. Build-in functions in PHP

7. How to work with superglobals in PHP

8. Introduction to databases

9. Using a database to create a register/login script

Why you should learn PHP

Anything that you can do on a web server, you can do with PHP. Do you read blogs? Well, blogs are created in PHP! Do you order stuff online? Well, that’s also created with PHP! What I’m trying to say it: PHP IS EVERYWHERE!

Dary Nazar

Hi and welcome to my Udemy page! My name is Dary Nazar and I've been coding professionally and for fun for over seven years now. Currently, I work as a freelance backend developer, helping startups and large corporations build and scale projects that use Laravel or PHP.

Three years ago, I discovered a second passion: making tutorials to help others pursue their dreams. I started a YouTube channel named 'Code With Dary' that has over 44.000 subscribers and 4 million views on topics such as PHP, Laravel, Symfony, Tailwind CSS, and more.

Since I started creating YouTube tutorials, it's hard to label myself. When people ask me what I do, I say that I'm a developer and educator who creates online programming courses to help anyone interested in learning web development.

My goal is to make complex topics as easy as possible by explaining them to you in a simple and understandable way.

This course is very easy and informing for beginners. It is very well-organized and simple. The best thing about it is that each section has example that you need to solve, so it gives you a chance to apply what you learn, and by presenting you the challenge, you are tempted to take it and not just brush it off. The only problem is that in some videos, you might find yourself learning a lot of new functions and concepts at a very shot time and it could be a little overwhelming, but if you take it step by step, I'm sure you will find it very easy to follow. Overall, I recommend this course to anyone who is still a beginner in PHP.

First of all, I must admit that I am grateful for this free course that helps people like me. When it comes to the content of the course, it is satisfactory, but I don't think it's suitable for beginners or intermediate learners. It falls somewhere in between. If you start following this course with some familiarity with PHP, it can help you improve your PHP skills to another level. Thank you so much again.

NIce teaching, clear sound. Could be a bit more engaging with Udemy exercises and not just pdf files with exercises. Great if you are a complete beginner and want to get started with PHP and mySQL.

es un curso muy bien explicado, falta algunas cosas por mejorar como las herramientas o programas utilizados, ya que no todos tenemos una mac para hacer este tipo de programacion, pero estuvo muy interesante haber aprendido este tipo de lenguaje

prepared stmt methods are not working at login and registration scripts. Maybe its' depreciated or some other kind of issues. I will look for it later. Thank you! Rest of the concepts was crystal clear and i got some good points from this course.Gracias!

Excellent course all round! Dary explains the concepts in a clear manner and provides one with problems and solutions at the end of each session. I would highly recommend this course for beginners starting out with PHP. I will be checking out your content on Youtube as well! I am a big fan of your teaching style. Thank you for the excellent material and for sharing your expertise.

I already new some PHP but this helped me brush up my skills and I still leart a few bits. This course would be great for beginners. I like the fact that he covered a few bits on security as most people don't went making videos. Thanks a lot.

This course is really what i wanted. And the instructor, he takes his time to explain everything, even someone without PHP knowledge would understand. And one more thing, i like the way the videos are short, because long videos do discourage me.

this course is good. there are some small mistakes that the instructor could have just worked on a bit better. the fact that the course is free doesn't mean the instructor could now neglect attention to detail. issues such as proof watching the videos to ensure all content is visible on the screen before uploading. also, the instructor could have stress tested some more when coming to fail cases of his if statements, especially in the final section of the course. however, all in all a good bases on which to build an understanding for the link between PHP and MySQL. now one would just need to investigate the login out button to end a session and redirect to the home page once again. really enjoyed taking the course. will also check out the youtube channel. thank Dary. :)
