Tony Munoz

I’m a long-time gamer, programmer, and entrepreneur with more than a decade dedicated to making video games professionally. Since 2013, I’ve worked across multiple areas of game creation, including game and level design, C++ programming, animation systems, character creation, and technical workflows.

Over the years, I’ve used many tools such as Aseprite, Unity, Blender, and others, but today my primary focus and expertise is Unreal Engine 5, where I combine C++ and engine systems to build complete gameplay experiences.

I’m the founder of the Game Creator Accelerator, a mentorship program created to help aspiring game developers and Unreal creators build real skills, confidence, and consistency, even while balancing work or studies. I’m also an active content creator on YouTube, where I share free tutorials, courses, and practical guidance to help beginners understand complex concepts, avoid common mistakes, and stay motivated over the long term.

Teaching and mentoring are at the core of what I do. I genuinely enjoy helping others realize that learning programming and game development is achievable with the right structure, mindset, and support.

I encourage students to join my YouTube community as a way to continue learning beyond this course, see real projects being built step by step, and stay connected with new content as they grow on their own path.

Amazing Course! I have understand how to build 16 bits characters models in old school pixel art and animated them. I have also learn to create platform game assets from the knowledge, i have acquired from this amazing course.

This training is very good as it helps to better understand how you can create pixel art. However, it would be strongly recommended that the teacher would share principles, tips and ideas based on his expertise and knowledge on how to achieve the great stuff he is able to do for his art.

A decent overview of the Aseprite workflow and practical process of making some pixel art. A good chunk of time is spent early on color theory fundamentals, which definitely helps with achieving good results and consistent themes across projects. The instructor is positive and encouraging, which is nice for motivating newcomers who will easily become frustrated while learning the concepts. He encourages the student to let their imagination guide them constantly in lessons, which is incredibly important. If you're not having fun, you're not going to keep it up. The course could benefit from more depth around the theory of approaches demonstrated, especially when it comes to perspective and lighting. A student with little-to-no experience with perspective drawing and shading may not grasp why shadows and highlights are drawn in specific areas, or when it's not enough, too much, etc. Understanding the basic rules of lighting and distance are just as important as, and related to color choice, but they get way less attention here.

the curse teach how Asprite works from technical aspect in a good way, my only issue with the curse is the slow respond in discord, and the lake of guides in the course ,if you watch the video and your stuck at something your stuck forever.

I like learning this stuff quickly instead of long winded explanations, because I want to be able to jump into it quickly. Also, it's helping me recall things I learned in school about colors but never really used in my career. Great information!

This is just what the doctor ordered! I love Tony's way of teaching and I see improvement in my art after finishing 45% of the course. I can't wait to finish the rest and see how I improve.

By Adrian Mihí Cardera on 5/28/2023

Overall an excelent course, I learned a lot of different techniques and styles. Toni's love for these art is much appreciated, he has a soothing and calm demeanor that eases frustration on beginners like me. Thanks to him, I have been able to leave the pixel-grid aside, now I can draw basic shapes and objects without recurring to the "dot by dot" technique I am still learning the ropes, and there's a long way ahead of me, but you know... like our good Mando says.. this is the WAY OH, by the WAY, yours truly is of Hispanic roots, having lived his life entirely on the North-Eastern part of Spain, close to the French border. Cheers!

Tony goes through the course very calmly and detailed. His art is nice and this course is a good step for a beginner getting used to using Aseprite and eventually going pro to put their art in games, art and more!
