The english speaking should be a little bit more fluid.

This is for beginners.

The starting of this course is very impressive. The tutor is very skilled and knows well the domain of database in general and more particularly PostgreSQL Database. Thanks

This listed as a more advanced coarse. Why is there intro material on how client /server connections happen? Why would we need to no who uses this database type? I purchase this coarse to get more understanding of the types of actions that can happen in the view,trigger,stored procedures. Maybe this will happen further into the material?

I am a veteran digital marketer and have been managing large sums of spend, keywords, etc. in Google AdWords and others. I'm a beginner PostgreSQL learner. I've spent a few hours learning the basic language and how to navigate. My end goal is to become a significantly stronger data analyst by leveraging the ability to create custom databases and sophisticated functions to derive insights for my clients.

Many of the lectures are just slides or just show where in the admin tool to find the item (e.g. Casts) but no information about how to actually define one, the syntax and parts, real-world examples of use, etc. Not useful unless your only goal is to understand what the parts of ecosystem are.

I didn't expect that author will be showing queryes in pg_admin.

I thoght that advanced level is about linux termital without native GUI functionality.

A bit slow at first, gets better towards the end.

This course provides almost no information that you can't get just by gleaming over the UI of pgAdmin. The instructor just clicks on different parts of the UI, making obvious statements about what is very clearly the stated objective of the inputs in the tool - for example, "the comment field is for putting notes for yourself". When giving an example of UNION, he provides the UNION of two sets where one is a subset of the other, thereby rendering the UNION useless!

I would not recommend this course for anyone and consider a waste of the 1 hour I spent zipping through the material at 2x speed and clicking the forward button. The titles of the chapters in the course are completely deceptive as none of the material is actually covered in the instructions.

Oiy. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this course was just towing the line: it was uninspired. My review would be higher if it at least the title were changed to something like "PostgreSQL with PgAdmin" because _everything_ was done through PgAdmin. Learning the raw command-line commands would have been far more useful because rarely does a production server have GUI tools installed and there are lots of better GUIs available, so why bother to learn PgAdmin?

Specifically missing were any discussions about WHY PostgreSQL does things the way it does. HOW is it different? WHY is it better? HOW is one solution different from some other solution? Rote learning various commands isn't very valuable, or worse, just talking through the outline of topics _without providing examples or explanations_ does not educate the student very well.

The course at least attempted to be coherent, but unfortunately, I feel like I would have learned more had I spent the same amount of time experimenting on my own.

Just ok. I thought it was a little to shallow.
