Power BI for Excel Users - Work Smarter, Grow Faster (Udemy.com)

I took this course after being told to learn "Poer BI." So, my tasker didn't even get it right to begin with. I liked the continual tie back to what I already knew from having worked with Excel. That being said, I did learn a few new tricks in Excel along the way of learning the capabilities of Power BI. As a practical manner, when I'm teaching I try to emphasize to the new folks ... learn and remember WHAT CAN BE DONE more so than the exact process of the HOW TO DO what can be done. Process can (and often does) change. Rarely does a capability just go away. It is usually still there ... just get at it from another way. This course emphasized more than one way to do things, and this course pre-emptively answered some of my questions about moving back and forth ... into and out of Power BI to other MS Office platforms. It may have been my screen ... but there were times when I couldn't really tell what the good Doctor was doing based on the visuals and had to rewind to listen harder to what he was saying and then go exploring in external resources (Power BI desktop, Books, or the web) to ferret out what he was trying to communicate. Overall, well done for an entry level introduction of the world of the possible.

Really nice and clear introduction to Power BI without going into too many details. Have a good understanding now about the overall creation process and what to concentrate on next. Thanks for that!

This course provides a good overview of Power BI . Topics such as get data, preparation of data, Creating relationships in data model and Reports creation are explained very well. But few things related to power BI services which are shown in course are very obsolete now, Its been updated to great extent .

Good introduction. Dax was a little confusing, but i guess that is expected given that i am a novice. Would have been better if the last couple of modules on data refresh/dataset connectivity between excel and power bi through one drive would have been more comprehensive and had coverage like SharePoint as base etc. However this is still a good starting point considering the time spent

Great Overview to the capabilities of Power BI and its integration with EXcel. REALLY needs an update incorporating key changes that have been made in Excel and to the total change to the Power BI menu/layout structure. Need to include some of the resources for Section 9

I think I needed a more basic level of the course to be able to understand more quickly everything else. Perhaps a quick overview of functions and buttons will we useful for those who need it and those who do not need it can skip it. Or maybe a test so we know what level we are in and start from there

Powerful to deep analysis the social data Analytics good start for new learner to catch up about Power BI introduction until building Visualize dashboard, also good to know new calculation functions DAX in Power BI. Very well constructed course. Dr. Paranjape's knowledge on PowerBI from its very beginning stages of development surely brings out the core principles of the product. I am hoping he will continue to update this course with the latest features of PowerBI. Also a higher level course to for advanced learners would be very helpful. Thank You!
