Description

Employee absenteeism due to burnout and other stress-related illnesses costs companies vast sums of money every year. Company management is now increasingly demanding that leaders prevent burnout among their employees. But to do this, you must know how to do it first.

This course shows you which influences can create unhealthy stress in your employees and cause burnout.

You'll also see what you as a leader can do to intervene and where your limits are. Knowing which of your employees' positive characteristics and skills might be why they stress themselves out is also essential.

In this course, you will learn which actions you can take to support your employees to become more attentive to their own health with coaching leadership.

You will also learn how to sensitize your team to stress triggers so you are not the only one responsible for a healthy working environment. An attentive team will look after each other.

Managing employee Well Being is a crucial skill for leaders to have engaged, loyal, motivated, and productive employees. Employee well being is not a side-effect - it's a question of awareness and respect for our people. This course helps executives to combine employee well being AND productivity. It's not an 'either-or', it's a combination of many facets.

This course is for you if you belong to one of these groups:

  • Leaders who want to preventively create a healthy work environment for their employees to have a high-performing, motivated team in the long term

  • Leaders who frequently experience stress-related illness & burnout in their team

  • Prospective leaders with personnel responsibility

  • HR experts to support leaders in reducing or preventing burnout among employees

  • Leaders who also want to prevent burnout in themselves

This course will equip you with knowledge and a toolbox for burnout prevention.

Your coaches, Axel and Sonja, have been executive coaches for many years and have often encountered the strain of stress and the threat of burnout in their clients.

From our work with employees and executives at risk of burnout, as well as with those affected by burnout, we have gathered the knowledge about causes and real early warning signs of burnout that you as an executive (and not as a coach or therapist) need to know to prevent burnout effectively and in time with your leadership. We also show practical methods to reduce stress at work.

Numerous checklists and worksheets help you to check the status quo in your team and to integrate practical measures immediately. The workbook provides checklists, templates, review questions, and tasks for all lessons to help you put the content into practice.

How do you manage burnout?

Some leaders wonder, how to 'manage burnout'.

It's like understanding how to tackle an injury: Avoid getting injured in the first place! And take action, as soon as the first warning signs of an upcoming injury occur.

The number one measure to manage burnout is to avoid, by applying good management and leadership practices.

This course will help you achieve exactly that, making it unnecessary to manage burnout because you prevent burnout.

Learn how to lead in a world where AI does half of what leadership used to mean.

In Axel Rittershaus's courses, you build the skill that matters most now. Not how to use the tools. How to make the calls that the tools cannot. You will learn to spot the decisions that are actually yours, to lead people through change without faking certainty, and to stay the person on the team whose judgment others trust when the answers stop being obvious.

More than 300,000 people have already learned from his courses, in plain language, with methods you can use the same day. No theory for its own sake. Every lesson is built to work in your next meeting, not just in your notes.

Axel knows both sides of the room. He built software and ran tech companies before he spent 17 years coaching leaders in over 20 countries, from new managers to the boards of international corporations. That is why his courses connect what AI can do with what only a human leader can.

Faced burnout symptoms with a team member and this course reassured me that we did quite some good things. But it gives much more insights and details which are really valuable. Thank you!

By TRACEY MORRISON on 7/13/2026

This course was absolutely brilliant. It explains everything I went through and my recovery in a nutshell. The part about going back to work was particularly useful as the shame can be high. Thank you

By Michaela Soriano on 5/31/2024

Throughout this course, I had a deeper understanding of the importance of understanding the welfare of others. As leader or part of the team, it is important to understand the feelings of others to be able to develop ways to avoid burnout.

By Rebecca Doughty on 5/29/2024

Yes, so far, it's a good course for any and all leadership roles to take so they can observe more and know signs to look for with their employees. We don't want them getting burnt out and if I can notice the signs then I can try to avoid those issues. I will definitely be coming back to use this course when needed for my employees and myself. The big question for me though is it's very difficult to talk to employees because of possibly crossing that line, how do we not cross that boundary when wanting to help due to seeing signs?

By Emoke Maklari-Takacs on 3/11/2024

By Natalia Shlegel on 9/28/2023

Would be helpful to have a short summary/slides on the main info to be able to quickly refer to those in the future

By Robert Brown on 7/27/2023

In this course I will be able to manage not being burnt out or stress. I am too committed with my work and as a result I might or will feel a bit burnt out

By Sara Pack on 12/30/2022

Content is great and recommendations are valuable! Star deducted for fluctuating audio quality which required me to adjust volume level every time the speakers alternated; this became tedious over time, especially while driving or using my hands for other tasks. Otherwise, fantastic course!

By Allison Heinrich on 10/29/2022

More leaders should take this course. The instructors review realistic and practical ways to manage stressors in the workplace and how to facilitate conversations with employees to mitigate burnout.
