Python for Beginners - Learn Programming from scratch (Udemy.com)

I fell like, as a complete beginner. This course helped me a lot, it has a lot of information about fundamentals. Everything starts really easy and understandable, than the difficulty of concepts and what we do in the lectures, gradually increases. In the end we even create a window from scratch with detailed explanations. I highly recommend checking out this course.

Easy to follow. Thumbs up. I personally would have liked to see where to find all the included Python functions/modules a little earlier since I've programmed in different languages already. When learning the 'if' statements, for my own sake, I chose to validate the values first and it would have been nice to know where to look for those functions then. As well as in the unpacking section, we were given the '*listname' to send all the values of a list into a function but if you have more entries in the list than the argument is expecting the code does not work. I wound up using the length function to find out how many entries where in the list then created a while loop with a counter to allow the function to process each entry in my list. The biggest issue is not having anyone to contact to ask these specific questions (or any questions) for clarity. But all-in-all the course was very beneficial for me.

Edwin is good instructor. I'll be referring back to his lessons and my notes as I really learn to code Python by practicing it over and over -- Edwin is right that is the only way! I really enjoyed this course and it will be useful to me.

I expect how to take input at runtime, this is also one of the basic part which has not shown. To execute addition of two values, I want to take inpute at runtime which is not included here. That will add extra benefit as we have included file handling and not runtime input.

Another excellent course by Edwin. This course would be a great beginners course. I took it as a review but really need more advanced Python courses which I plan on proceeding with. Thank you, Edwin for all of your time and hard work sharing your knowledge with us by producing these courses. Very good job on this Python for Beginners course!

The course is very well designed and gives a beginner a complete overview of what python is and what it can do. While some parts yes are advanced for a new beginner Edwin tries his best to keep it simple. While he does, there is nothing better than practicing on your own which has to be done if you want to learn any new skill correctly.

I thought the instructor demonstrated very well. I had to pause a lot to keep up with the pace and follow along but overall very clear and understanding directions. Also, Edwin energy was superb, you could hear the excitement in his voice for helping others. Keep up the great work Edwin!!

I haven't done any programming at all. an this at least helped me to at least get some handle on it. I am sure no expert yet however I was very exited when I managed to get the hang of it and do some stuff with the little coding I have learned. I sometimes wish the lecturer would stick to just Python. as a beginner it is a bit confusing when jumping between python and then PHP. Thank you for the course and it helped me allot

The course really allowed me to grasp the basic concepts of python and programming in general, as I am a beginner in this area. Now I can do basic python functions, however, I will keep practising and learning to go deep into the latter advanced parts. The instructor was very enthusiastic, energetic, uplifting, clear, on the point and he helped me understand python from "scratch". This course could be enhanced if Edwin (the instructor) includes some more practice exercises such in a separate zip file or folder, go over the complicated parts in greater detail with more examples and by giving some extra references such as URLs, websites, videos and ebooks for more learning, practice and application. Otherwise great course and definitely recommended to all the beginners who want to learn python!!!

The lectures were concise and easy to follow. It would have been even better if the lecturer, when introducing a new function or feature, explain the usefulness if it by giving s simple real-life example. Nevertheless, this was a goid introductiry course for beginners in Python.

I really liked the course I'm new in programming and it really gives me hope to learn plus it attracted me like i'm watching breaking bad or something.

The course is good in allowing students to learn basics of Python code, however, the course would be much more enjoyable if there was an end goal in mind for the course other than "learn Python from scratch". The instructor is a great teacher, but he uses examples that aren't working toward something-- an end product. Each video is separate from the rest. There's no objective to the code from start to finish. This would be a solid 5 star course if Edwin built upon each video with the next, tying in the previous lectures. If this was the case, the students could see a real-world use that makes sense. Without a use for the code (a project), questions like, "Why are Lists important?", "Why would I use them?", "What's the point of calling them?" are easily asked and unanswered.

In summary, Edwin is great instructor; he's knowledgeable and engaging. But for people who want to understand how these lectures apply to real world applications/scripts, you'll find this course lacks useful examples.
