Course Description

NEW PYTHON CODE
This python for beginners course is geared to students who want to know how python works and also to those totally new to programming.
The python language has very simple syntax(way to write it) to learn and it is one of the most powerful languages to learn since it can used for a variety of things.
Here are some:
  1. Data analysis
  2. Game development
  3. Visualization
  4. Web development
  5. Robotics
  6. and more....

Jobs in this field are really lucrative and knowing this language will give you an edge when finding a job and making a lot more money than other developers; python developers are not as many as in other languages since people think is hard. Python is super easy to learn but very powerful since it contains many possibilities.

Python is growing faster and faster everyday and it has surpassed many other languages over the years for a lot of reasons, which you will find out soon enough.

Why take this course?
This course starts with explaining what programming really is? Have you ever wondered how things actually work in a program?
1. Teaches the foundation of GENERAL programming
Every student should have some foundations on what programming really is before learning any language, why? Because once you understand the core components of programming it will be a lot easier to learn any language and create better programs.
2. New lectures added all the time
When you like what you do, it reflects. This is not a job for me, so I wake up wanting to code and help my students. Basically you pay once, get the course forever and get extra values added all the time, you have to love that :)
3. Fun place to be

I love making my lectures fun and engaging, so no boring lectures here!
4. The support you get in this course in unmatched
have you ever joined a class and received very little support or none at all? Well that is not going to happen in this class, because I love helping my students.

Who this course is for:
  • Student totally new to programming
  • Student totally new to python

I really liked the course I'm new in programming and it really gives me hope to learn plus it attracted me like i'm watching breaking bad or something.

Thank you Mr. Edwin.

The course is good in allowing students to learn basics of Python code, however, the course would be much more enjoyable if there was an end goal in mind for the course other than "learn Python from scratch". The instructor is a great teacher, but he uses examples that aren't working toward something-- an end product. Each video is separate from the rest. There's no objective to the code from start to finish. This would be a solid 5 star course if Edwin built upon each video with the next, tying in the previous lectures. If this was the case, the students could see a real-world use that makes sense. Without a use for the code (a project), questions like, "Why are Lists important?", "Why would I use them?", "What's the point of calling them?" are easily asked and unanswered.

In summary, Edwin is great instructor; he's knowledgeable and engaging. But for people who want to understand how these lectures apply to real world applications/scripts, you'll find this course lacks useful examples.

This is my first time learning a programming language. This course is moving at an easy to learn pace. The instructor is fun and engaging. He does a good job of not overwelling beginners with technical jargon. I got what I wanted to out of this course.

This course is great. It truly is for beginners. I love the enthusiasm Edwin Teaches with and his ability to convey ideas and concepts. Like some other reviewers have stated it would be nice if there was homework or additional exercises, but even without those, this is a great course and i would recommend this for anyone who is absolutely new and looking to get their feet wet in python programming or even just programing in general.

Being new to the programming field in general, this exposure, along with the energy of the instructor, is making it interesting so far. Thank you. I actually sat through the first 3-hours non stop. Intrigued. This have definitely lead me to seeking other similar course work.

Ty.

If you haven't done programming before, this is just a bunch of pieces that don't seem to make a program of any kind. It might be helpful to have a assignment sheet where people can write a pgm using all the disjoined pieces we've learned. Otherwise I have to take my rating down quite a bit.

Overall simple course. Learn a bunch of basics, but if you want to know what to do with the basics to start writing your own code, and practice writing code, you don't really get that.

Doesn't explain some of the most important basics of python unfortunately, so it's hard to justify giving a higher score.

Well explained course. Instructor is entertaining and knowledgeable. Course pace is just right. You don't feel rushed. Each lecture is not too long or too short. Now I am onto his PHP course !!!

Thanks for this great course. I have been wanting to learn Python for some time now. This course made it really simple to learn. I am looking forward to learning loads more as new videos are added :)

i feel like i'm on my way to learning python, it's a great introduction to programming in general. Could use a bit more time on syntax, but I feel that this has gotten me to a good start.

I haven't done any programming at all.

an this at least helped me to at least get some handle on it.

I am sure no expert yet however I was very exited when I managed to get the hang of it and do some stuff with the little coding I have learned.

I sometimes wish the lecturer would stick to just Python. as a beginner it is a bit confusing when jumping between python and then PHP.

Thank you for the course and it helped me allot

Hi Edwin,

I liked your course as it says for absolute beginners it meet the requirement but I believe that it can be better as you can add more example and most important for students you can give us the test to do or programs to create so that if we use our own imagination and use it and if need any help will call out to you.

please add more content!
