I really appreciated this course. It provided a detailed and clear explanation of how to build a Chrome extension, which was exactly what I was looking for. The instructions were well-structured and easy to follow. However, I found the instructor's English pronunciation a bit difficult to understand at times. I relied on the subtitles to follow along with the course content. Overall, it was a valuable course and I learned a lot. Thank you!

Just finished Section 5 and the depth of understanding is greatly appreciated. I'm realistically spending an 3x the amount of timer per section just because he flies through things. The flying is appreciated because there isn't an aspect of the process that he has skipped over. Which gives me a map to go search for answers. Also I have come to notice, I usually try to do things ahead of the videos just to test myself, that when I run into an error or something goes wrong that he usually has the answer. Which is great because it takes me a while to find a suitable answer and the fact he already goes over it means his understanding and experience is legitimate. Great course even when running on react18, if you see this please give some insight into the new createRoot and root.render, I am trying to figure out how to use the React.createElement with it but no luck just yet.

An excellent course on Chrome extension development which also includes a good overview of Webpack (which is handy for anyone like me who has been curious for a long time, but never quite curious enough to be bothered to read more on the subject). The instructor asked for any and all feedback, so I will say that I did have a little difficulty understanding the speech at times and had to turn on subtitles, mainly because the volume of his voice sometimes trails off (towards the ends of sentences or things said as an aside, making it hard to hear what is actually said). It's a good thing that text-to-speech is near perfect these days. The content of the course is so great that this minor difficulty did not detract from the experience. Well done!

This course was an absolute game-changer for me! It was not only informative and practical but also incredibly interesting and easy to follow. The instructor laid out the concepts clearly, making the complex world of Chrome Extension development accessible and engaging. Now, I feel fully equipped and confident to build any kind of production-grade Chrome extensions using the knowledge I've gained. I highly recommend this course to anyone looking to dive deep into extension development with React and TypeScript. A big thumbs up for an excellent learning experience!

This is the best course to learn about Chrome Extension Development by Jason Xian. I highly appreciate the well-structured course starting with basic Javascript and HTML and then using Typescript & React to optimize it even further by creating a reusable boilerplate template from scratch. One of the best things about Jason Xian is his fast replies to students to queries in the Q&A section even if the queries are from out-of-course questions. Thank you, Jason.

I recently completed the "React & TypeScript Chrome Extension Development [2023]" course and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the content provided. The course is well-structured, diving into the modern practices of Chrome Extension development with a clear focus on using React and TypeScript, which are industry standards. The instructor has a great way of explaining concepts, making it easy to understand the intricacies of Chrome APIs and the new Manifest Version 3. The sections on HTTP requests and interaction with third-party APIs are particularly enlightening and practical. What I found most beneficial was the hands-on approach to creating various extensions, such as a focus timer and a weather extension. These projects are not just for practice but are structured in a way that they could be published in the Chrome Web Store. The inclusion of lessons on building user interfaces with Material UI and using command-line tools like Git and NPM brings an additional layer of professional development practices into the learning process. Overall, the course provides a wealth of knowledge that's applicable to real-world scenarios, making it an invaluable resource for both beginners and experienced developers looking to upskill. With the bonus content on Chrome Extension themes, this course goes above and beyond, ensuring that you have a well-rounded understanding of extension development. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in expanding their web development skill set!

I don't think you really take enough time to explain WHY you do things. It's more like watching someone code vs. going into what certain things do and why the program is structured one way vs another.

The best resource that I've found for learning chrome extension development. I absolutely recommend. *Update: After finishing the course, I still have to say that this is the best resource for learning to develop chrome extensions. With that, some feedback for Jason would be that in future tutorials that you might make, it would be helpful if you provided more details when directing us to add new code. For example, if you want us to add a new function, instead of just saying "let's add a myFunc function", it would be helpful to say "let's add a myFunc function. We should put this right below the randomFunc1 function, before the randomFunc2 function". This could be applied to imports as well or just in general any time you are going to move the cursor. I found myself getting a bit lost during the weatherApp extension buildout as the code got more complex. Brad Traversy does a really good job in his courses of providing this type of detail when moving the cursor. Anyway, great course here, Thank you Jason!

The content of the course is normal. Can be recommended. For the spring of 2022, current knowledge (manifest 3, typescript and react) The main problem of this course is the sound and diction of the author. For me, as a person for whom English is not native, it was difficult to listen. I had to strain my hearing to beat on the wave. Everything else I liked. Personally, I would really like to learn how to work with files in Chrome extensions. But I think now I'll figure it out after the course. It's not all that scary.

This course deserves 11/10. Jason is a pretty good instructor as he teaches in a way of combining syntax and practices with great depth, helping me really understand almost every piece of codes he wrote. This course is not very suitable for absolute beginner. However, if you already have some background with JS, TS, React, and you want to learn how to utilize React when building great Chrome Extension, I recommend this course without doubt. Also, the vanilla JS portion and webpack portions of this course are also very informative and helpful for me as I am not that familiar with them. Overall, this course is not too lengthy but very helpful and rewarding as you can fastly develop and deploy an app that you may use in a daily basis. A very good start of 2022 :). Happy new year!
