REST WCF Service in ASP.NET (Udemy.com)

Hi Patrick! Man, I did not know WCF but I know other concepts around Microsoft Technology and I needed to start to see WCF principles. So, thank you very much to help me to get that new knowledge. I know, there is much more to learn but I think that I start in a good place. Thank you! Fast and effective to a good start.

Short and Detailed Course with a few Examples that can be really useful. I hope it will be useful in my career as a developer. P.S Instructor's head did not move from the small circular video window at all. That is one steady head.

The copy pasted stuffs in web.config and while creating service at the begining could have been explained in detail as I am completely new to wcf just tried to copy the same what you have pasted. Other than this, everything was clean and clear. Thank you so much.

So far it is going on well, however it is just practical implementation only, no much in depth explaination is provided. I hope in later chapters I may see them. Oh its too less to know for the price paid.

This is a FREE course so i did not expect it to be "indepth", but it was perfectly in-depth enough for me to continue to build upon given my programming experience with a bit of web service, ajax and javascript. If you are a beginning programmer, you are NOT going to understand what you just did. You should take a beginning course in these technologies first then come back here. GREAT JOB PATRICK!! While this course is great to understand how to write a REST WCF Service, it does not explain the basics of HOW the Web Services work. This is more of watch and try to keep up type of course. Of course, this being a free course I should not look in a gift horse's mouth, so thank you Patrick, I did learn some good material!

It is a solid introduction to REST WCF Services. It's extremely helpful because it's technology that's used in the enterprise and applicable to the workplace. My one complaint is that I just wish somethings like DataContracts and web.config were explained a little bit more.

It's an excellent course!! very well explained. Then only observation I have is, I know it's a free and simple course, but maybe a little bit more explanation on the web.config file for the REST WCF service, especially because this file makes the difference between SOAP or REST.

I am so grateful , this tutorial was so helpful for me. I have questions marks in my head at some points. It's working in local side. I thought of a scenario like that I have a website and ı created wcf and then I published it to my hosting provider. I wrote any method inside of my wcf. How to reach or send values this methods externally any apps ? This apps it can be unity3d , xamarin apps , windows forms and so on. And one more question :) This wcf service will work until hosting server shutdown automatically ? or I need something for start it ?
