Robot Framework Test Automation - Level 2 (Udemy.com)

Like the first cource, I really appreciated it. Bryan is a really good teacher! Thanks a lot :-) The only little deficiancy is that several modules are quite different with the updates. That would be great to update f.ex. the modules "Web Locators" and change the homepage "www.cars.com" since it has a totally different structure. Of course that's a great opportunity to practice ;-) The page "automationplayground.com" is great for practicing. Thanks a lot Bryan! You really got me hooked on Robotframework. :-)

This course is a worthy continuation of the first part. It is important to note that some of the keywords used in the projects are now obsolete or no longer exist because Robot Framework itself is evolving. An absolute must is to get the supplied example projects up and running: an exercise that should not be skipped. I would feel comfortable letting any new team member loose on a 'real' project after he/she has done this course and has made the supplied example projects fly with the then current version of Robot Framework and the current libraries. Highly recommend this course!

This is a great course and I think Bryan is a great instructor and its def worth the time to take. I wanted some help on a project that was utilizing some of the concepts that he taught and he asked me questions but then never got back to me. Hes probably busy and I get that but after getting the information fresh into your head, youre probably still a little "green". Going that extra mile will yield a 5 star! As for the content, Robot is a great framework but I find it way more confusing than just using Python/Pytest and utilizing Robots reporting structure for someone that has already use selenium and pytest. Def worth the time to learn, but switching it up some Python makes it more powerful IMO.

Altogether a great experience, presented in an understandable and engaging way, with plenty of live-coding to demonstrate the nuances of day-to-day working with Robot Framework and debugging various issues. Bryan is obviously a knowledgeable expert in the area and responds admirably quickly to questions. The areas I'd like to see improvement are planning the presentations or cutting the videos, so that the debugging a certain issue is only shown once (e.g. with the cutting-pasting of missing dependencies) and updating the course to the current state of RF, as apparently there have been significant updates since. Or maybe put those in a follow-up course along with more details and deeper understanding of the mechanisms and possibilities.

A very good course overall. It really makes the Robot Framework shine in doing tests and not only. Also, since english is not my mother tongue, I very much appreciated listening to the instructor, as his accent is clear and understandable. If you are thinking of buying it, you definitely should. However, I'm only not giving full 5 stars because of two reasons: - this course provides a lot of knowledge to digest, but doen't actually support that with challanges/exercises to help with memorization/brain stimulation. - both lvl 1&2 courses show the power of RF based on SeleniumLibrary. There was only 1 chapter (lvl 1 course) dedicated to showcasing the use of other libs. Unfortunately, the resources failed because they were a little outdated, and I'd really like to learn to feel comfortable working with DB, OS, API, etc. I hope that Bryan (the instructor) will make yet another RF course consisting of only challenges/exercises, not just for the web (selenium) library but also database, application, system etc. for back-end testers, I suppose.

After finishing the Level 1 course, I was wondering what more is there to learn about the Robot Framework. But since I bought them both, I began the Level 2 course. It turns out there are a lot more! This course is more about how to set up complex test automation project that is easy to understand, modify, and clean to look at. The additional bonus was a very thorough HTML and CSS locator strategy.

Subjects learnt during this course will be helpful!
however, some explanations were redundant, espescially during the section 12. I think it is for the course to be perfectly understadable but for me it was too much.
Moreover, at the beginning of the section 12, a full end to end test is presented, I was waiting for its complete construction.

Very good course content on the essential topics, but the instructor speaks occasionally too fast and goes over some suite configuration set-ups too fast.

Very good course it really helped me understand the range that RF has for the different tests.
