Generally speaking, a good course. It seems, however, to be aimed at programmers interested in learning a new language, rather than at complete beginners. I get that it's not possible to go through all basic topics of programming in the depth that a complete newbie would need and keep the course under 3 or 4 hours, but still, the title might be a little bit misleading. Also, I understand the author's need to tell people about their website and other courses, but having the longest video on the course be about that seems a bit on poor taste to me.

I had no prior experience with Ruby, only a few basic knowledge of some other Object-Oriented Programming Languages. With this course I was able to understand some basic scripting I have to tweak and I really enjoyed John Elder's teaching style :)
