Build An API With The Django Rest Framework Using Python (Udemy.com)

Learned the basics of DJANGO Rest API. Instructor moves a bit fast, but I could rewind and replay. No deep explanations or walkthroughs. Just high level. I would look for another course for a deeper understanding. Regardless I am happy about the base level knowledge I have gained.

Instruction was clean, concise, and to the point. Videos where short and to the point making it easy to actually create the code while watching. Broken down into the specific steps like they were made it easy to break off and pick back up when one had a disruption to the training.

It felt really good to have some kind of tangible results at the end. There were some errors in the process, but I managed to fix them through StakOverflow posts. Great for beginners. I'm motivated to take this learning further. Thank you for the lecture!

Very good introduction for beginners on getting an API up and running with Python. Each video is concise, informative and never drags. The only thing that was lacking was no discussion on API security and how to implement that in Django. While the author does mention that it's beyond the scope of the course, security is just too important to ignore all together.

Great course to quickly get started on a high-level on django rest framework. Nice short but well explained videos. Highly recommend this video for the first time diving into django rest framework

The instructor has awesome and easily understandable delivery skills. This quality of the instructor makes this course stand out. Furthermore, the short lectures are very appealing. However, the course has a drawback, namely, even though this is a beginner level DRF course, certain videos could have been easily eliminated or shortened so that more important (essential) concepts such as API security and the use of CORS module introduced and explained. Anyways, I would still recommend this course to anyone who wants to start working with the Django Rest Framework but has no knowledge about the library.

The course was good, and gives a brisk intro to API with django rest FW, which it intended to do. But the purpose of this course feels slightly shallow, it could have dived a bit more on customizing APIs, coding manual views for API. At least something. Plus the course should come with a banner that one needs to be familiar with Django to go though this. The trainer was good, very candid, it was fun.

John Elder helped me with understanding the DJANGO Rest Framework in a quick and well-explained project and the whole content deserves five stars. With some ergonometric embedded passively with short videos and a well-produced framework to explain the code and the contents taken during the classes, for sure I will be updated to his new online courses.
