Not necessarily. I'm a Windows 10 user with the newest version of SketchUp. I don't really care to hear about the Mac version and you're not using the most current SketchUp. So it's harder to correlate with the version you are using. At this point, I'm not impressed and wished I hadn't have spent the money for the training.

I am enjoying this but I realize that this class is too advance for me, but I plan on continuing the rest of the class in hopes that when using sketch up for myself, that I remember something that was taught. Thank you!

Excellent and well-explained course. The examples used in the video are the daily challenges we face when using the software if you are curious or need to improve your knowledge in the software I recommend you to go through this series of video classes.

Yes very informative, lecturer voice too mono toned. Also confusing saying command instead of ctrl or option instead of alt for window users

I didn’t realize it’s 2013 was intending to sign up for 2018. The teacher is great at explaining the basic functions. Some of the advanced programming is not for me.

So far this is a good intro to sketchup. I have used AutoCAD for over twenty years, but now that I am retired I don't have the benefit or the desire to maintain AutoCAD.

Infinite Skills: No offense, but are you out of your mind(s)? The vast majority of users do not need to learn both (Windows and Mac) versions of this program, or most others, for that matter. The dual-platform presentation of this material inherently means that something like half of the time I put into watching will be completely wasted on whichever platform I don’t use. Yes, it probably takes twice as much work for you to write/record/produce a separate product for each of the two platforms. ‘Efficient’ and ‘effective’ are not always the same thing. One of the first decisions in the planning stage should’ve been to create two separate courses, one for each platform. Yes, there are some elements that are identical; so what? We very quickly come to a point where every single difference is a distraction and a waste of time for the viewer. While appearing to increase your production efficiency, lumping the platforms together really only serves to dramatically cut the effectiveness of the course for the user: half of what we’re watching doesn’t apply to whichever platform we’re using! ‘…Sketchup treats the Mac keyboard differently than the PC keyboard..” You’re killing me, Smalls. It is entirely possible that there could be an interest in a keystroke-by-keystroke comparison. But when that type of content begins to receive more than one or two moments of passing attention, perhaps it’s time to title the course “Platform Differences: Comparing Sketchup on Mac and PC”, so that it’s apparent to the buying public that this is not, in fact, a tutorial on Sketchup, but rather a survey of how to use the program differently on the two platforms. The shortcuts list seemed like a great starting place for creating shortcuts; it's a very thoughtful and potentially useful inclusion in the course. The presenter’s familiarity with, and ability to navigate, both platforms seemed pretty impressive. But half (or more) of it is worse than useless, as it distracts the viewer’s attention from those instructions that are actually relevant to the platform in use by the individual. Having said all of that, the material seems to be relatively well developed and competently presented. But if you think about it for a minute, that only accentuates the point: if you have the skills and presence of mind to develop and present, why in the world would you not develop separate products for the separate platforms?

The only real issue I am having with this course, is that I was expecting it to be for a later version of SketchUp. I am currently learning how to use and using SketchUp 2018.

This is just about everything you need to know for becoming proficient with Sketchup. I was a casual user before taking this course and now I am much more efficient and confident in my use of it. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.
