Course Description

I want to share with you our 6-module step-by-step system to gain respect as a true leader in your organization…

…by mastering the Six Most Common situations that can earn you respect and help you develop and reach your true leadership potential.

There’s an age-old question…

Is it better to be a “nice” leader to get your staff to like you?

Or to be “tough” and inspire respect and hard work?

Fact: A Harvard Business review study shows that, contrary to what many believe, “nice guys (and gals!)” can actually finish first, as long as they use the right strategies that prevent others from taking advantage of them…

In other words…leaders with respect finish first…

I have one very important question for you…

  • Do you have the respect of other people?

Are you 100% sure?

If you’re like hundreds of leaders we interviewed, you probably worry about ten key things when it comes to gaining respect…

  1. “I have to watch all my employees.”

  2. “People are taking advantage of me.”

  3. “I have to use my power to get respect.”

  4. “People are scared of me.”

  5. “I dread confrontational conversations.”

  6. “I have to micromanage people to get things done.”

  7. “My staff members don’t respect me.”

  8. “I have to be guarded to be successful.”

  9. “I must command respect.”

  10. “I have to make people like me.”

So, what does respect look like?

Fact: Another Harvard study shows that when leaders are fair to the members of their team, the team members display more citizenship behavior and are more productive, both individually and as a team.

Fact: Jon Haidt at New York University Stern School of Business shows in his research that when leaders are self-sacrificing, their employees experience being moved and inspired.

As a result, the employees feel more loyal and committed and are more likely to go out of their way to be helpful and friendly to other employees.

Fact: Research on “paying it forward” shows that when you work with people who help you, in turn you will be more likely to help others (and not necessarily just those who helped you).

In other words…

Respect and Leadership go together…

You can’t have one without the other…

There’s a value loop of first respect, then leadership, then more respect, and on and on and on…

Fact: A Gallup’s Workplace Poll shows that employees actually prefer happiness to high pay…something that may come as a surprise to many HR directors…

Happier employees have better customer service.

Without respect, leaders become tyrants.

Most of the research suggests that a compassionate workplace fosters engagement not so much through material goods but through the qualities of the organizations’ leaders, such as a sincere commitment to values and ethics, genuine interpersonal kindness, and self-sacrifice.

To get respect, you’ve got to show respect…

Earning respect is one of the most crucial skills needed to become a successful business leader.

So, to help you transform how you earn respect and work with nearly everyone in your life, including yourself, we created Respect…How to Reach Your Leadership Potential and Gain Respect As A True Leader

It’s a six module system – one for each key “respectful” leadership situation to help you show respect to earn respect and become an effective leader at your organization  by drawing people towards you and do it by being more of your genuine self …

Here’s how it works…

In modules 1 and 2, you will learn how to become a grounded leader people want to follow and build a culture of self-esteem that others want to emulate…

As a non native English speaker I have difficulties following the course. The syntax is used is asking for a lot of energy to understand or comprehend everything. The content of this course is very interesting.

Excellent...!! All-important nodes of communication are very well articulated. Have relearned once again with a fresh perspective. Highly recommended for those who are interested in improving or brushing up on their soft skills.

This is a really great course. The material is clearly explained, and the accompanying workbook is great. One point of feedback on the workbook: Would like to see, later in the section, some of the answers to the fill-in questions, so I can check my understanding. Maybe an answer key at the back of the workbook? I'm excited to implement the strategies and methods I've learned in this course. Kudos and thank you to the instructor!

Great course and content! I added some books to my list of books to read or listen to and will be going through it a second time (as a research-type learner) to start to embed into my long-term memory the wisdom of the lessons in this course. Well done!

Just feels a bit like saying someone isn't capable of being a good leader if they ever experience these things such as anxiety. I wish there was a way of teaching that you can have anxiety and other mental health issues and still be a good leader. That in a way, you could use these to your advantage to connect with your team and check in with them on how they are. Therefore, being genuine and connected while also showing that you care about their work/life balance. But knowing how to set healthy boundaries and expecatations.

When I took part of this course, I didn't know what to expect. I didn't consider myself a leader and through many experiences with high school competitions, I thought that I never would be. However, the things I learned in this course can be used in daily life and I honestly think this is a course everyone should take because it will help you grow and be more grounded than you ever were before.

Not a good match. It is for leaders and I am not a leader, yet. I will apply this when the time comes. It is giving me some things to do to make my personal life better. It also takes longer than advertised. Jason is very engaging and enthusiastic about this topic.

This class is a good fit for me based upon the fact that this Instructor is an amazing human being. He is gifted in this field. He humanizes the lecture and presents the information in a way that holds your interest and attention. The lecture is enjoyable, never dull and boring.

There was a lot of information in this class that will be useful in every aspect of life. It was obvious the teacher was very knowledgeable on the subject and presented it in an interesting and engaging manner.

At first, I felt the title for the course was interesting but as I have gone through the course I realized it is spot on. Here is what I have found so helpful: The course sections cover the mindset or psychology of that sections theme AND THEN provide practical tools to use in conversation/communication as well as real life examples that span Professional to Personal. I am already feeling the positive impact of this course in my mindset and how I communicate with others.
