Course Description
Whether you are a software developer, architect, project manager or just someone who codes for fun; knowing what to write is just as hard as knowing how to write it. 'Software requirements gathering' is the process of capturing the objectives, goals and wishes of the customer upfront and early-on in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
This course is accompanied by several templates and document files, that you can use as a guideline during your next requirements gathering project. There is a feasibility study template, a software specification template, a terminology guide and a couple more.
This course will get you 'asking the right questions' early in the process, saving you time, money and effort. You will learn how to 'manage the requirements process' from start to finish. How to differentiate between 'Functional and Non-functional requirements'. How to 'capture and record requirements'. Plus, you will get an insight to how one system is used throughout an organization.
This course will guide you through the entire range of 'Scoping Documents', 'Technical Specifications', 'Feasibility Studies' and 'Requirements Gathering'.
Your time is precious and that matters to me, this course has been arranged into small lectures that you can consume when you have a spare few minutes. They follow-on from each other, making the entire course watchable in one sitting. you can be sure that the project you embark on is the same as the project you deliver. On time and on budget.
Capturing Software Requirements, Meeting Deliverables, Exceeding Expectations and Documenting the whole process can take years to learn, this stuff is not taught in colleges, it is learned in the trenches. So save yourself time, get the insider information on the topics that matter. By the end of the course, you will have amassed a large number of key takeaways and several useful template files that together will take your software development skills to the next level.
This course is for life, meaning you can learn whenever you have the time. You have access to the discussions area, where I will personally answer any questions you have on this course. This course is also backed by a 30 day money back guarantee.
If you need a deeper understanding of the software development life cycle. Are about to begin work on a new software project or embark on a prospective customer collaboration? this course will guide you through the process.
I look forwards to seeing you on the inside.
Kind Regards, Robin.

Hi, I’m Robin. I’m a self-taught Freelance Digital Artist and Illustrator.
I have published drawing courses, ran google hangout sketching sessions and shared tutorials through social media but what I’m best known for is running a Youtube channel where I talk about and create Concept Art, Fantasy Art and more Specifically Creature Design.
I believe drawing and illustration is a skill not a gift! Which means that anyone can learn a skill it simply takes guidance, perseverance and a little patience. We are all artists with our own visions to share. And as we go through life we are touched and shaped by many experiences. It is this unique path that each of us follows which makes creating unique and original art so compelling.
It’s never to late to pick up a pencil and start learning, so I invite you to check out my YouTube Channel, my Website and my Courses here on Udemy to learn more about me and the art that I create.
I look forwards to helping you realize the visions in your imagination!

Author was very knowledgeable and concise with his information. He showed some reasonable examples of questions and answers that one may come across when gathering software requirements. There was a lot packed into this course and as such, I'll probably be watching it a few more times. Well done!

The course material is good but it would have been really helpful if after explaining the theory a practical end-to-end example of requirement gathering & documenting could have been given. That being said it is a really good course.

Great course. Very helpful in understanding at a high level about what goes on in a requirements gathering phase. Please do add some case studies or real-time examples to understand the requirements gathering process in a more hands-on manner, which would be a great value addition. Thanks..:)

This was a great refresher around Requirements gathering. Alot of topics resurface that I learned in college in my software class. I would suggest expanding the quizzes to more than 1 question. Provide questions where we have to apply what was learned in the lectures such as identifying a bad or good requirement and why, identify good and bad questions, knowing the difference between functional and non-functional requirements etc. I believe this would bring it together full circle. One more addition includes slides that mimic the presentation. Overall good course!

Overall the course was good but the context needs to be clear more at a given point of time. For example he focuses more on explaining the content at a time but not why it is being explained or a little context behind it. The language could be a little easier. Thanks

The course was very informative. Since I'm a fresher I have no idea on software requirements gathering skills. But through this course, I learned a lot and this will be very useful to enhance my career in future. Thank you so much for this course

By completing this course will definitely say that I can be able understand more about the requirements gathering. I also get the more information about SRS, Requirement gathering, Requirement validation. Resources are very helpful to understand real case scenario.

I went into this not expecting much and expecting a good overview of Requirements Gathering which would in no means be comprehensive. However this instructor was so clear and understandable in his delivery that I had to give 5 stars, most especially with the fact that he provides such useful resources and templates that pretty much avoid you having to reinvent the wheel.

Disclaimer: I have a Masters in Software Engineering and have taken a course on Requirements Engineering. That said, I highly recommend this course for anyone developing any kind of software! Although brief, there is A LOT of value in this course. The author shared this "power question" which is similar to the job interview questions, "What are your challenges and goals? How can I help" The POWER question is " If you could wave a magic wand and have one problem disappear from your business today what would it be?" Pure GOLD!
