Course Description
Please Note: This is not a live coding course. In order to keep the material as beginner friendly as possible and to save you the time of watching me type, this course does not feature code examples being typed as you watch. It does however contain the code samples covered.
UPDATED: Jan 2016 - added new section on Association, Aggregation and Composition
UPDATED: April 2016 - added new Object Oriented Programming Terminology CheatSheet
This course is about 'Object Oriented Programming' (OOP). If you are new to OOP or are looking to brush up on your programming knowledge perhaps for an interview or just for fun! This course will quickly get you up to speed on the important concepts of OOP.
Language agnostic, the concepts presented in this course can EASILY be applied to any programming language that supports the notion of 'classes and properties'. Including C++, C#, VB.Net, Javascript or PHP.
We will start the course with a brief introduction. Then dive into understanding exactly what the terms 'Abstraction', 'Encapsulation', 'Inheritance', 'Poly-morphism', 'Association', 'Aggregation' and 'Composition' really mean. Next, we will take a look at these concepts in action with some simple examples. And how easy it can be to adopt a good programming style from the start.
Delivered using HD Video, PDF, lecture and code samples (c# projects provided), this course will give you the knowledge and skills needed to put these concepts into practice and become a better developer today!
This course is designed to be a comprehensive introduction and should require about 1-2hrs viewing time, plus an equal amount of time if you wish to code the samples yourself (optional).
Backed by the Udemy 30 day money back guarantee, this course will be yours for life!
So, If you are looking to revise for an exam or interview, improve you coding style, get that new job or just understand the concepts used by professionals today then this course is for you.
If you need to know why 'Code Re-Use and Recycling' is important. Or how 'Good Design reduces flaws' and how 'an Object Oriented Program is much easier to modify and maintain than a non-Object Oriented Program' then this course is for you.
Simply click the 'Take this class' button today to get the skills that you deserve.
I look forwards to seeing you on the inside...

Robin Slee
Hi, I’m Robin. I’m a self-taught Freelance Digital Artist and Illustrator.
I have published drawing courses, ran google hangout sketching sessions and shared tutorials through social media but what I’m best known for is running a Youtube channel where I talk about and create Concept Art, Fantasy Art and more Specifically Creature Design.
I believe drawing and illustration is a skill not a gift! Which means that anyone can learn a skill it simply takes guidance, perseverance and a little patience. We are all artists with our own visions to share. And as we go through life we are touched and shaped by many experiences. It is this unique path that each of us follows which makes creating unique and original art so compelling.
It’s never to late to pick up a pencil and start learning, so I invite you to check out my YouTube Channel, my Website and my Courses here on Udemy to learn more about me and the art that I create.
I look forwards to helping you realize the visions in your imagination!

The instructor is easy to understand and has great command of the English language. He uses clear and simple explanations and examples to get his thoughts across to the students.

Good high level overview of OOP concepts and practices. Material was straightforward. Was pretty much what I was expecting. Only recommendation to instructor is to be more animated in you speech, at times it became too flat in tone and was causing me to lose attention.

Just the right amount of detail to orient one to this topic. Accessible for non-developers for the most part. Those with less (or no) coding exposure will benefit. However... For non-developers the course would benefit from the addition of a brief primer on programming basics, e.g. setting variables, assigning values, "calling", and the syntax used for each. I would have drawn more from the instructor's review of sample code as illustrations of core concepts with such a primer. But I still learned from and enjoyed the course. Thank you!

Great short course that covered the principles needed to better understand source code; my only negative feedback is when it came to the practical part where he was demonstrating his code, that was not breaking down enough. for example, I did not know what "var" meant-- I of course paused to researched it. Maybe if the demo was breaking down into each line explaining where the reference is then it would be a 5 star. It might be redundant to some but when learning something like that you cannot repeat yourself enough...

One of the best OOP courses I have ever come across. I have NEVER seen any course explain Interface Inheritance. The author's Book sample to explain Inheritance is beyond excellent. This is a very comprehensive and to the point tutorial about OOP.

so far he just read a note , And ain't help me to understand . I'm a kind of visual and logical learner, like the programs read like a note I won't understand that. I wish you do the actual program and run may that's helpful .

Good for a general understanding, although participants do not code along. Very nice clear English, voice, talking speed and tone, which made it easy to follow for me.

Very very instructive... Good instructor. Would have liked to see more content... and sure more practical "training"... No worries... It all inspires me to keep on exploring...

Robin Slee is that teacher. I'm coming in very late to programming as I want to create my own games in Unity, but have had previous experience with these concepts trying to program in flashes actionscript and I have *always* had problems understanding why programming languages are sometimes redundant and confusing. This class takes some extremely technical concepts and breaks them down into very understandable terms. The instructor is quite adroit in making potential confusing jargon into something that is very comprehensible. I highly recommend this class as either an introduction to OOP programming or even as a booster class to help learners cement the concepts better into their minds.

I am half way through the course and already got more out of it then the 93 other courses I bought on Udemy(literally I have 93). He breaks it down well and I think I finally got OOP. I hope you make more courses on the basics of computer science because we need more like this.
