Course Description

Hello solar friends!! Now we are more than 7000 students worldwide! thank you for this! This shows the quality and content of the course! Visit my profile for more courses like this one :)

Thank you so much for your interest in the COMPLETE SOLAR ENERGY COURSE with 119 lectures and extra downloadable resources to help you design, size, and price your solar system!

In this course, you are going to learn from the basics to the more complex subjects on solar energy.

You are going to learn in-depth and intensive content on solar energy.

This is not just a regular course, it's complete, intensive, and practical, focused on both technical and commercial sides of solar energy.

Solar Energy is growing exponentially and is growing non-stop, it has already created thousands of jobs in the world. It is getting more complex and more knowledge is needed to differentiate yourself in the industry to land a job or to start your own company.

In this course, you will get A LOT of content and knowledge about solar energy and the industry. Including how to design and size a PV System.

I'm a mechanical engineer and I've been working in solar energy for more than 7 years, both in the technical and in the commercial and business development side of the industry.

I have a great overview of both sides and I focused on both in this course. That's why also with the technical information, I'll be talking about commercial tips during the lectures to help you understand how to see the business and where to stand when selling or selling a PV system.

In this course, we also have a financial section in which we learn how to estimate the PAYBACK period of the PV system using the NET PRESENT VALUE method, a method used on investment analysis not only on solar but in many other industries to analyze an investment.

The approach of this course is to go from the components to the system, this means, we’ll start learning each component of the system separately, and then after we understand how each component works, we’ll see the system working as a whole, how each component work on the system and how the system works altogether.

So there we go, an in-depth, complete course on on-grid solar photovoltaic systems, prepared in a very easy to learn methodology, from the components to the system, step by step, focused on both technical and commercial skills.

You will get access to download the excels that we developed to help you calculate the payback period, the solar energy generation of your PV system for different tilts and we show you how to import the irradiance for any location, the energy consumption of your location, the price per kWp of the system that you are quoting and more.

Enroll in our course now! Join the green revolution and become part of the industry!

The goal is to add more value for you and to spread the green revolution, we are firm believers that the world needs clean energy, and at the same time this has to be sustainable

You could make this course a lot better if you would had put more info in each section . I felt like i was watching an advertisement to sell me a solar class . Got tired of your begging for a five star rating , that is part of the reason i only gave you three .

The content of the course is excellent ! But the spoken words are sometimes hard to understand and therefore I have to read the subtitles too. There are also many repetitions, and therefore the tool that creates the subtitles makes many mistakes. The solution would be to deliver fixed subtitles within the videos. Thank you very much !

Prior to this course, I already took some other one, very comprehensive, covering also various software solutions, etc. and I decided to take this one, mostly because it covers financial part in detail. I must say I still learned a lot of additional useful infomation, simply because it was a different take of the whole topic. The only thing that bothered me, is that in the sizing part, the selection of protection devices felt a bit rushed and I would appreciate some more practical details, going through tables and selecting the right products etc. But overal, for the scope it covers (on-grid systems and financials) it's really good and i recommend it to everyone who is new to the topic and wants to get a first introductionto the topic.

The course content is excellent covering all the key aspects to PV system design with some example exercises and excels. English skills of the instructor is not exactly the best but his teaching skills is good. Overall this has helped me gain confidence in my SolarPV knowledge. Thank you Marco!

Great content and good structure of the course. I suggest better illustrations and to use them even more in the presentation.

I took two courses of solar system few years back here in North America through the IBEW(International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) training program. One was fundamentals of PV system, and the second one was installation of PV system. But this course here is by far the best and advanced in comparison. I thought I knew a lot about PV system , but that is proved wrong once I took this course. I highly recommend this course.

By Jean-Philippe Ghyoot on 5/2/2022

Content is good and covers a lot from basic to advanced but could be presented in a more visually appealing way by using more graphics, diagrams and images etc. otherwise an excellent introduction to designing a grid tier solar system.

By Joemar Abajay on 3/31/2022

The general concept of solar PV system from components to sizing is discussed appropriately in this course. The cream of the crop of this course is the sizing section where you will be able to size and estimate the large components of the PV system like (which matters most anyways), but still, the estimate section leaves me wanting, it would be better if the course goes through the assembly, detail counting of small things too like the common railings, the cables, connectors, electrical boxes, plastic trunkings and arrangement. It would also help to provide some real life pictures of the system down to the AC panel of the installation. (4 stars) Also I think the author is not active anymore because he stopped responding to questions. (-0.5 star) But hey, the course is pretty large enough coverage and you cant expect to learn the trade purely from taking a virtual course.

By Johan Pieterse on 4/11/2021

The fundamentals proofed to be a good platform for the rest of the course. During the Sizing and Design part, it was somewhat fast-paced, especially with the NASA integration of info, and what data ought to be used. The mathematical formulas seems good, but it would have been more understandable, if the methodology of trigonometry could be explained/included in the angle and spacing calculations 9by pictograms etc). Overall, I enjoyed the indepth look, as this is truely a GREEN innovation technology, which needs to be globally exploited.

By Roger Metelerkamp on 1/12/2021

Excellent course, and it is always nice to get the value added spreadsheets which give you a feel for what is important and what is not so important in the design of a solar energy system. I am interested in the off-grid course to see about sizing batteries and off grid storage. 2022 update► I have now revisited the course and gone through it a second time (perhaps I'm a slow learner) and have found it valuable to have done that. Once again, an excellent course, with good level of detail. I should perhaps do the off-grid course too.
