Course Description
We teach solar energy in a method used by Stanford University… So:
We start with important electrical concepts Like (Current, Voltage, Power, and Energy)
Then we go through the different configurations of solar systems
Then we describe all the components of the solar energy system in details, starting with solar panels to generate energy and then charge controller which keeps current and voltage levels of this energy controlled and then we store this energy in batteries and finally we describe inverters which convert the DC into AC Current Used by the client…’
And the fun part starts here in the design process, where we will design both a battery-based system and on grid system.
Next, You will learn to design a full solar energy system using Microsoft Excel Software.
Finally, You will use PVsyst software for your solar energy design.

Only thing is the prononsation. would be great if you can use a software to convert the accent into a easily understandable. explanations are great

Great course. Being a renewable energy student, it really helped understand the calculations that go into making a PV system. The PVSyst software proved really good.

At first i had some thoughts/hesitations cause of other ratings... Besides that i take the risk and that was really giood choice. This course starts from scpras with all introduction knownledge so you are a little dissapointed at start cause you think its gonna be all lectures... but then the instructor take you from the hand, and step by step guide you through all designing of a PV system. Personally, iam a Mechanical Enginnering (with some theoritical background on PV) and that course was so helpfull and educasionally. Really recomended!!

Boring lecture with no examples. He is just reading a book

I really am enjoying the course but I have to keep on going back to understand the words. I am South African and our accent is different from the rest of the world.

It was a blast to follow this course. the teaching material was perfect. This course covers not only everything related to solar system perfectly, but also other important topic in electrical engineering.

I never saw any information using Excel and was understanding PVsyst was a software application that would be covered. I believe when taking these courses that you are doing it for your own knowledge not a certification of completion. Make the most of it and take notes. Record all the needed formulas that you can use to make your own Excel worksheets that you can then use to do your analysis in real life. It will make your life easier.

a very god solar energy course the presentations are expressed in a very good an unique way also it combines the theory and the design

Amazing! Starting out simple really helps if you don't know anything about PV. and getting into the deep details after that makes this course the best reference to follow.
