Course Description
SOLIDWORKS is the world leader in 3D software for product development and design. With SOLIDWORKS, you can create manufacturing-ready parts and assemblies, as well as detailed drawings and bills of materials.
Why You Should Take This Course?
This course is a beginner's course, so no prior knowledge of CAD or modeling software is needed.
Topics include designing from 2D sketches and using modeling software to create 3D models from those sketches.
Learn crucial skills such as drawing geometry, dimensioning geometry, creating solid geometry, and using sketch planes.
You will learn how to turn 2D sketches into 3D models.
This course also includes many resources such as movies and model examples.
Continual Updates More Than 1000 STUDENTS!!! THANK YOU!!!
Welcome to this course.
This course will take you from zero experience in 3D Modeling to a professional who can build 3D parts and assemblies and turn them into production-ready manufacturing drawings. This SOLIDWORKS Essentials course is encouraged for anyone new to SOLIDWORKS. Whether you have migrated from 2D CAD, another 3D system, or have no experience with CAD at all, this course is suited for you. Starting from the very basics of the program, the course develops by looking at modeling essentials required for day-to-day use of the software, right through to some advanced topics for automating designs.
This course also focuses on the 2D drawings aspect of the package, going in-depth into setting up drawing sheets, creating drawing views, and applying dimension schemes. Time is spent customizing drawing borders for company-specific requirements.
By quickly getting up to speed and using best modeling practices, the SOLIDWORKS Essentials course ultimately ensures maximum efficiency and productivity for all SOLIDWORKS users. New CAD users, seasoned users of other CAD systems, and veteran SOLIDWORKS users can all benefit from Essentials training. Real-life case studies are used to illustrate processes, teaching everything you need to know for building models of parts and assemblies and making drawings of those parts and assemblies.
In this course, we'll show students how to create manufacturing-ready parts and assemblies in SOLIDWORKS. We'll begin with simple 2D sketching and the software's sketch-editing tools as we provide step-by-step instruction on building 3D geometry from 2D sketches.
So, at the end of this course, you will be able to grab any real-life object, make a 2D sketch of it, and then convert that sketch to a 3D model that will be ready to manufacture.
What You Will Learn
Create 2D sketches and convert them into 3D models.
Assemble different parts and create motion between them.
Design and customize drawing sheets and views.
Apply dimension schemes and customize drawing borders.
Build 3D parts and assemblies ready for manufacturing.
Who Is This Course For
Beginners with no prior knowledge of CAD or modeling software.
Students and professionals looking to enhance their skills in 3D modeling.
Anyone interested in learning SOLIDWORKS for product development and design.

The tutor starts very well, introducing the fundamentals from the point of a newbie like myself. He then moves on to build on the foundation he has laid. I enjoyed it.

This course if useful for who haven't any experience in a SolidWorks and it will be a good one to start learn SolidWorks, but it not good enough to have a little experience with SolidWorks and want to improve their skills.

Thank you for your wonderful lecture class and everything is fine really good contiant and one thing like to add little more could be added to the course with regarding drawing lecture like how to save the file for pdf format. Rest everything is fine. And also in motion study video the voice is little less compared to other videos. Thanks and Regards, Durga Prasad Singanamala

fué una elección acertada

Very poor execution of MAIN COURSE TOPIC. I would say that there are plenty more other features in the SOLIDWORKS , which remained unexplained during this entire course. Also, 2D sketches (ellipse,spline,text...etc.) & design constraints (vertical,horizontal,tangent...etc.) are not taught thoroughly.

Till now I'm impressed. Could've included the installation of Solidworks too !!
By Abdullah Hussein Abdulqader Abdullah on 7/13/2020
up to section 1 part 4, I'm totally encouraged to complete the course since I feel it will benefit me and achieve my goals to get a good and strong basis for SOLIDWORKS.
