Course Description


In this intermediate level course, we'll build a 3D sculpt of Spider-Man (Miles Morales / Spider-Verse version) from the ground up. We will start with blocking and step by step form our shapes that will become the body, muscles and suit. You will create the full character design from 2D Sketches and also reference images of Spider-man!  As always, experimenting and making this your own is encouraged! Currently running Nomad Sculpt v1.78

We'll cover

  • Blocking the shapes using primitives

  • When to voxel merge / when not to

  • Using various tools to achieve the details and look we want

  • Keeping our model as efficient as possible

  • Lighting

  • Posing our model using mesh nesting and pivot points

  • Adding a backdrop / custom environment

  • Post process and rendering

I'll be using an iPad Pro 2022, but Nomad is available on many different tablets/devices: We won't get too high with vertices, so most devices shouldn't have any issues with the project. (I think around 3mil Max, my final render is around 2mil) I've also included some extras like my Custom environment, image samples, and the final Nomad file that you open, examine, and reference as needed!

This is the perfect class for those interested in creating 3D model characters and also for 3D print style characters.

This class is also perfect for those looking to learn how to model/sculpt for miniatures as well! Whether you’re familiar with 3D modeling, or just getting started, nomad sculpt is a really fun way to sculpt anywhere anytime. You can also export files to other applications like Blender to continue to work with your sculpts as you need.

I think it works well if you want to see how basic tools are used. But I felt like he is just doings, and not necessarily explaining why he is using certain tools or taking certain decisions. Then you can learn how to follow along but not knowing why.

Hola. Llevo 9 lecciones de las 17 que constituyen el curso. Hasta el momento me ha encantado, he disfrutado y aprendido mucho de Nomad Sculot en Ipad, hasta el extremo de que hay cosas que las hago de otra forma, que considero más óptima y rápida. Una vez que los finalize será el segundo curso que hago con este profesor. Tengo que felicitarlo, aunque el curso es de nivel medio avanzado, piensa en los que estan empezando al pimpartirlo. excellent tutorial, strongly recommended, I like the way Dave explains nomad, very relax, I feel I learn as he does too, lol or he makes it look that way, I take notes or screenshots to remember important steps and put them in practice, I don't mind paying cus I learn as I go and I can take these videos everywhere I go and watch them whe I can or feel like it.
