I'm trying to learn all of the functionality of ethernet switches as I work for a company that actually makes ethernet switch chips. So far I have learned quite a bit from this course.

I assumed signing up for this course that I'd continue to learn more about switches beyond the COMPTia Network + general knowledge. However, you'll find that if you don't have some prior level of experience working with switches and the CLI that this course may not be for suitable for your needs. I sought out this course having completed the MCSA and Network + courses but having never learned to program a switch. The presenter goes through the content rapidly and fails to explain terminology or even some of the basic "why" questions many novice learners might want answered. Also, I don't think many will appreciate the comparison between Network Engineers and "Network Operators", whatever that is. Every Network Engineer started out with nothing and built their skillset and at some point they too were "Network Operators". Know your audience. People are here to better themselves not be looked down upon by someone who simiply has had more exposure to a topic. On a positive note the instructor does appear to respond to questions posting in the Q&A..

Laz is Legendary. You tell me. He explains in great depth - history, what it does, why it does not, and why not. You get an instructor that can explain that AND be entertaining and you have LAZ. Thanks, man. Spot me!

So far the course is really good, Lazaro is very knowledge and provides good real life scenarios when it comes to switching. I will update the review once I finish the course, but so far I do highly recommend it to anyone pursuing in a career in Network Engineering.
