Tableau For Healthcare (Udemy.com)

The lead-in was a bit much if you're already a health provider. What I was also hoping for was how to do a public-facing dash.

As a complete Tableau noob, I was having to press pause quite frequently since the pace is fairly quick, but I learned so much, and I'm sure that all my future dashboards will be heavily influenced by what I learned in this course. Very, very well done, and I was so excited to see a course in my professional field instead of the usual "widgets and sales" aspect. Bravo!

Good course, covers exactly what it says. Clear instructions, very useful to learn Tableau as an amateur. What can be improved: -Video speaking volume IS LOW - hard to hear even at full volume. -Assignments can be quizzes to validate your answers yourself instead of through other course takers

Being a healthcare professional for the last 30 years, Section 1 was not particularly helpful for me (but certainly would be for someone new to healthcare). Nothing negative about this first section at all but rather just wasn't particularly relevant to me.

I am a healthcare administrator who has focused on healthcare IMIT. I thought the class was okay...the Tableau walk-throughs could have been done a little slower (had to pause the video several times as I was trying to follow-along). Overall a good course for someone who is trying to gain practice with Tableau in a simulated environment.

This is a different Tableau course: it’s a domain expert using Tableau. In general, most Tableau courses focus on (fancy) techniques. For example, Mark doesn’t use advanced techniques such as containers/padding. However, his focus is on the value of the information the dashboard delivers. I love that.

The course is good at applying Healthcare metrics and integrating it with Tableau's functionality so that a clinical or nonclinical person in a Healthcare organization can take the data and improve clinical outcomes, make clinical and business decisions that improve KPIs.

Excellent course for learning about different data sets and KPIs used in healthcare and how dynamic dashboards are created to extract meaningful insights. I think one note to add even more value is to incorporate how you can create reference lines for benchmarks to measure performance against on the dashboard. The hypertension use case is a great example of creating a 60% Healthy People benchmark reference on the BP Control % chart to measure against. Also creating a IF/THEN/ELSEIF calculation to color code if provider met benchmark would be helpful for students to learn. I applied this from another course. Overall, excellent course with lots of value. Mark is a great instructor. Thanks!

Hi Udemy World, I had taken this course to get an insight into Healthcare Analytics. This course does do a lot of justice as it stresses on the importance of Quality and why it matters in healthcare. The course provides a great insight into the various use cases i.e., Length of Stay, Readmissions, Emergency Department Throughput, Mortality, Ambulatory/Outpatient Access, Hypertension Management. This course has also given me some good Tableau dashboard related concepts and has helped me develop my tableau public portfolio. One suggestion is that the delivery of the theoretical explanation before starting the Tableau related work could be made more interesting especially for a person like me who was not aware of any of the healthcare related topics. If you want to get an understanding into how analytics can add value in healthcare, then I would recommend this course. Regards, Deepak.

I've took this course as suggested from Tableau community, giving a look at various arguments from this course, I give my thanks to the creator of this course, since he created a course that didn't exist. Apart from that, there are a lot of course that teaches about tableau, but only few go through practical exercises and quizzes. It would be great to add : 1)More visual aids - there is a lot of talk and no synthesis on slides 2)choice of colors 3)adding a Healthcare lesson about the topic to give some background
