I'm a solution architect with 30+ years of experience in enterprise content management, and I came into this course expecting practical, fresh techniques for communicating technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. What I got was a solid but very padded framework. The core ideas (audience-centered communication, the 5-part structure, the effort/outcome categories) are sound and genuinely useful as a checklist, especially for less experienced communicators. But the content-to-runtime ratio is poor: most videos could be condensed into a fraction of their length without losing anything. Several key points across the "Audience" and "Relevant" sections repeat the same ideas multiple times before adding anything new. For someone newer to structured business communication, this course is probably a solid 4. For an experienced professional who already communicates across technical and business audiences regularly, much of it will feel like validation of things you already do intuitively, dressed up in new terminology, rather than new skills. The quizzes are a nice touch, though a few questions have answer options that are ambiguous or arguably have more than one defensible answer. Overall: decent content, but I'd recommend skimming the provided PDF summaries first and only watching the videos for topics where the PDF isn't enough, rather than working through all 4 hours linearly.

this course contains information which are useful but most of time the contents were similar with minute differences and to spot those differences i had to watch the whole video, could have been with more example and reducing the duration of the course . Overall i would like to say it was a good course .

The instructor is a clear, effective, thoughtful communicator, which is essential for someone who is teaching you to become a better communicator. He provides a solid framework for communicating with people with different backgrounds and priorities, and I learned a lot about I can be more effective when engaging with others. His lessons are well-paced, his delivery is spot-on, and the overall production value is high, polished, and consistent.

I found this course very valuable. I recently started as a junior project engineer and wanted to sharpen my communication skills right away. I was struggling to convey my message simply to non-experts; friends, family, clients, investors,.... This course brought a 5-part framework that is applicable to effectively convey your message so that the listener understands it. (GPS) I highly recommend it for anyone struggling to explain complex issues in a simple way! The only downside I could think of is that it is fairly theoretical, and it will certainly take effort and time to make a habit of what is taught here. But effective communication - just like everything you want to be good at in life - is like building a house, it needs a good foundation. This is given here. (analogies) Finally, I would appreciate a 10-minute summary video, just to activate the brain once in a while, so I can take this framework with me in the future.

Excellent course, it helped me not only improve the way I can tailor the words and speeches that I might transmit to the audience that I could work with at any certain time but also helped me to change my mindset when it comes to assessing and speaking to any kind of public, and also to strength my soft skills. I really recommend it!

The course helped me understand what to convey to the audience and what not to present, in order to be an effective communicator. In a nutshell our presentation should cater to the audience keeping in mind the other points like relevance, relatable, simplicity and largely jargon-free in order that the audience understands with clarity what we want to convey.

It's very useful for me. It can be applied to effective communication. In the past I had more story in my head, could not simplify and communicate to people who is working in different function. I will practice and apply all technic from this session to improve myself for better communication skill.

This is an excellent course for the intended audience (technical professionals). We are often proud of our technical expertise and frankly want to show off a bit. In most settings this is counter productive and hurts our reputation rather than building it. Ok, so accepting that might be easy, but how do you fix it? Follow the guidance of this course. I've been a technical professional for nearly 30 years, and I learned a lot. Much of this (but far from all of it) is common sense, but that doesn't mean you remember to heed that advice when it comes to communicating. Take the course, save the handouts, refer to them as needed, and I expect you'll start communicating more effectively immediately. The only downside of the course is the slow pace and repetition. The former is easily fixed by watching at some higher multiple speed. The latter is based on good teaching/learning theory, so just go with it.

I'm a Software Engineer and tend to sometimes be long winded, or too technical. This course taught me a ton of really important points to help my communication be more clear, concise, and effective. I've already noticed benefits in my day to day work while taking the course. I will continue to refer to my notes and seek feedback as he suggested, to hopefully improve even more.

Amazing course! The content is so useful and relatable to everyone, independently of the context. Very well structured and lectured, with examples that anyone can understand and apply. Maybe it could have a shorter duration , but besides that, I really appreciated and advise it for everyone, even if you don't think it applies to you. For sure it does :)
