I am not an artist and wanted to learn how to work with the tool. This is an excellent reference/replacement for reading the documentation. The presenter is quite familiar with the tool. The only downside is that we are not creating anything specific just learning the tool. This is a valuable resource. I imagine coming back to this course over and over again.

It was great to get an understanding of the tools and menus in Aseprite. It was great to see how each aspect of the software can be used in a project and ways to save time with hotkeys and special configurations. I learned that Asesprite is extremely capable and underrated and has many features that can match or rival more expensive art packages.

This course gives you everything you need "before starting to learn pixel art". I think, Aseprite is the most comprehensive program to work with when it comes to pixel art. So if you want to learn the tools and want to have a solid understanding about Aseprite, this course definitely must have!

This class was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'd taken other Aesprite classes, but they were basically just watching someone create pictures with Aesprite and using various tools. This video goes over EVERY single menu and choice. I had a rudementary working knowledge of the program, but I am so glad to have found this to explain things like the onion skin and linked animation frames. I would totally recommend this class to any level Aesprite user. If I had to make a complaint, it would be in a couple of places where he is going over something and says to just Google for more information. I wish he'd have gone through examples there. But that was only once or twice in the whole series, so overall the course was exceptional. I'd also like a more lively presentation, but that is just a preference and perhaps not something that can be fixed. Easiest 5 star rating I've ever given!

Well, in general, all the course covers is also in the official Tutorials (which are very good structured by the way). The course is not up to date and some things are skipped or not explained well. BUT, it had me looking over every single option and tool and stuff to explore in Aseprite, so it was kind of a good start point. But as told in the Outro, this is just the beginning and no tutorial will replace some self practice. So I'm going to do a pixel art fundamentals course next and play around with the features I've just learned. Very good starting point for Pixel Art.

I’ve been looking all around for a comprehensive analysis of Aseprite. And as a beginner aspiring animator, learning a program the first time can be intimidating. Having it shown to me in a calm collected manner really helps. And you also learn all the aspects of the program. Which super increases efficiency. I’m so happy I bought this class! He is an excellent teacher.

I was expecting more in depth and focus on pixel art and animation, this course explains things that are common among all programs, a third of this course is on basically what drop down menus are, which is just basic knowledge about computer programs not Aseprite.

This course is everything it says on the tin. Instructor goes through every tool there is in the application. However, at times he skips some tools saying something like: "this is self explenatory - it locks layer" - is it though? At other times he goes to details in things he is not sure how they work and tries to explain not knowing much about them (like layer blending). Overall it is good course and it tought me everything I expected. Is it worth its price? Not sure, to be honest.

Great course so far. Haven't had trouble keeping up the pacing is great and to my speed. Would be nice to like have some work to do here and there in between the course just so that we can mess around along with what we are learning. But still it's a great course if you just bought Aseprite and you are completely learning from scratch.

The Course was very intuitive. I learned a lot within these 26 lectures. He was very comprehensive with all the elements of this program, very extensive on making sure you know the ins and outs of Aseprite, highly impressed on his knowledge, also I highly recommend any novice to take this course if you are trying to work with the great program that is Aseprite.
