Course Description
This course is the perfect introduction to Bubble and covers 6 years of my Bubble experience rolled up into an extensive introductory course. By the end of this course, you'll be well on your way to being a mid tier Bubble developer armed with enough knowledge to starting building applications independently.
Not only do we cover the technical aspects of creating an application, but I'll be dropping hints and expanding on the UX and UI side of app development, which means how users experience and interact with your software and how to improve retention.
Good design practises will form the backbone of all our implementation decisions and in fact, our dashboard will be mobile responsive. That's right, viewable and functional on a phone. We won't be doing different design for mobile, it will all be done on the same page.
In this 14hr course we'll be building a production ready project & task management application called Collab that includes:
Building a dashboard style application
Creating user accounts
Signup & login workflows
Project & team collaboration
Task management
Team creation
Inviting external users
User roles
Permissions
Privacy rules
UX design
The technical & design skills you will learn include:
The Bubble Editor
Page layout and design
Workflow logic
Database design
Using styles
Custom States
Repeating group filtering and sorting
Dynamic data integration
Basic SEO settings
Image processing with Imgix

Greg Wonderful course! Simply the best. I've started a lot of online courses over the years - and even finished some of them - but this ranks up there with the very best. Greg's production, teaching style, technical knowledge and acumen for UI styling & design are second to none. You're getting a whole lot with this course - a good level of Bubble knowledge, basic application building principles and a good measure of UI design. On top of that you end up with a fantastic framework app that can be repurposed to your own needs. Some reviewers have noted the course is out of date. It is slightly - but aside from a few settings being in different places it's all still 100% relevant. Others have criticized the course because Greg makes mistakes, backtracks to correct them and then maybe ten lessons on decides to change it again. Well I spent 10 years as a software developer (Bubble is way more fun than Java!) and this is exactly how it works! Sorry folks, you don't plan it all out, write the code and move on. Kudos to Greg for this approach. And you know what was the most fun? Watching Greg make a mistake and you noticing it e.g. accidentally overwrite some page parameters, then he goes to test the functionality and it doesn't work! Boom! So funny... Anyway, this course is amazing value - he's got the same (slightly updated) course on Buildcamp for 10x the cost of this one. If you're thinking about doing it, grab it quick! In fact I'm deciding which Buildcamp course to do next! P.S. The 720 resolution is a bit of a pain, but manageable.

Brand new to bubble, so my goal with this course was to become familiar with UI. The course production value is top notch. The instructor knows the software well. The current bubble UI is a bit different than the UI used during the course due to the two year time difference, but not a big issue. Suggested improvements for the next version of the course are to somehow highlight the element that was clicked when making changes in the inspector...one can become "lost in the sauce" if one makes changes to incorrect element. For a newbie like myself, I was hoping for more big picture gist as far as bubble structure relative to app construction, then page construction, etc.. Images depicting this structure would be helpful. Also, jazz musicians build up a massive database of knowledge before "free-styling" occurs. For beginners, the "free-styling" in the course can be minimized due to the lack of a bubble knowledge base. Overall, it's a good, long course. I suspect I'll repeat the course,

So this review is for all those who like me went to check out the 1-star reviews first while considering buying this course, You'll find a few people complaining Gregory makes mistakes and then spends time going back and correcting again and again but what they tend not to understand is that, it's all part of the process. Can anyone find 1 developer who doesn't make any mistakes during the developing stage? I'm glad Greg made mistakes it helped me understand in better ways! Also, a few of the times I was able to identify the mistakes beforehand as well because I didn't come here to copy paste and that was only because I spent time to actually understand Gregory's instructions. And for those complaining about the old versions, it's not even that bad you get all the options on layout and appearance tabs one way or the other!

I was an absolute beginner on Bubble with a vision to create a Bubble app and was looking for a good instructor to get me started. Gregory John exceeded my expectations. He is a fantastic teacher and provided detailed and well thought out modules covering every aspect of the app development process. By the end of this course I created a working project management app with a lot of functionality and really gained a solid understanding of the Bubble development environment. I'm excited to continue my Bubble journey!

Outstanding course for anyone considering bubble. Great pace, excellent instruction. Greg clearly thought this through. He delivers the work in a very calming and instructive manner, repeating the important points without slowing things down. I recommend following along in the bubble app while watching the video and taking lots of notes. It adds time but is well worth it.

when I started, everything was fine, regardless of the 720p resolution. i noticed that he sometimes doesn't explain the concepts, he just like press and write, like to show us what to put, but sometimes he doesn't explain why it happened. i was managing throughout the course until i reach 41. Editing Projects, here I lose it all, no explanation WHATSOEVER, about why he chose this, whats the meaning of the concept, then he started just pushing and clicking around without explaining why did he do that and what does it mean. if the course is not for beginners, i would understand, but for me, i don't want to blindly see what to do, i want to learn how to do it, and why did you do it. if you are like me, a person who doesn't just like to follow without knowing why and how, then you will face problems during this course.

Great course. Great instructor. The price for the material is a bargain, especially if you're new. It's loaded with information for the beginning on Bubble.io. Greg surely is a UI expert. There's so much to learn from just designing a great web app in this course. I have noticed that the course indeed is slightly outdated as some of the features in Bubble have been updated so you WILL have to work around it but it did not bother me at all. Indeed, I do wish Greg cut out some of the mistakes but it wasn't bothering me that much. In fact, if you look at it from another perspective, you get to understand and learn the instructor's mode of thinking around problems. You get to see his thought process on why a certain change is made. If anything, the slight outdatedness of the course and the changes made by Greg within the course only helped me better understand the platform itself and how to work my way around it. Super solid course, I'd recommend.

This is a great course and foundation for learning Bubble. It gives an excellent grounding and starting point for using Bubble the correct way. Some things in the videos don't work as expected due to changes in the current Bubble versions. However, if you work though these simple problems for yourself, you get a much higher level of understanding, as well as a simple fully functional app at the end. The main takeaways from this course are the intuitive functional methodologies you can apply and expand on in your own apps. I would not hesitate to sign up to an advanced version course should Gregory make one available.

Very valuable course that I enjoyed a lot! Couple of things caused me to remove half star from rating: 1. Low video resolution (720p) for this type of content (a lot of detailed objects) makes it a bit difficult to watch. 2. Structure could be a bit better. On one particular occasion I noticed an issue (couple of other people asked the same question), that made me believe I made an error and waisted few hours trying to rectify it. Won't be an issue for anyone in the future, as I answered it under that video. Nevertheless, workflow and initial setup that Gregory presents show a lot of experience will benefit everyone. Despite the two issues mentioned above, I still strongly recommend it!!

Honestly, this is one of the best online / udemy courses I've taken. Greg did a great job at walking through the steps to build a SaaS style app which is exactly what I needed. I like the way it wasn't just a copy what I do video course, each step was explained in good detail. I considered buying a template from a bubble template provider before this, but Im really happy I took the steps to learn this myself from scratch. I feel I have enough knowledge to further develop the app I've just built into something I want to build. 5 stars, I will also be joining buildcamp
