You missed some folders in this section when you were discussing the root directories. But, you are probably aware of this already.

Very good course for beginners. I've had some Linux/unix and it refreshed my memory. Slow but steady paced I liked. He covers A LOT of material but in a way as to educate you, not over power you. I learned a lot here. Talks about the history of linux, commands, installation..everything. I only wish he had gone through installation onto a MAC, instead of just installation for a Windows machine. This course was educational and I would recommend it!!!

This course a quick review about the basics of Linux, is very useful if you don't have to much time for learn or research or is you are not interested in go further. I appreciate the lectures and the instructor's effort and I'm looking forward to see more advanced topics about Linux! Thank you.

I am already familiar with Linux, but if anyone who needs to get in touch with Linux after a long time, I would suggest you to watch these videos and recall all your Linux concepts in a day or so. Not only for previous learners, it is good for beginners as well. I like the way the author, kept his calm and exchanged the basic concepts in a clear way.

I would have liked to have known more about the command switches to make understanding and relating to the actions they do easier. I also noticed that you used the -f switch (i.e. force the execution of the command with no restrictions) in the majority of the commands. You might not want to teach new students to use that switch while executing every command. Otherwise, the class was very informative and is great for beginners.

Very good course for beginners. Course is simple, instructor explained the concepts and/or commands clearly with simple examples. It would be nice to extend this course to cover a few additional basics like seeing the active jobs running, commands for seeing disk, cpu and memory utilization, grep command and its usage, user permissions and vi editor. Overall I'm happy with this course.

This course is well structured and very easy to follow, especially for Linux beginners. That said, I believe it also contains some gems for those already familiar with Linux. I suspect that the very experienced users would not find it worth their time, but it's a great course for those just wanting to switch from Windows.

The class is very basic and very complete. No mumbo jumbo about Unix/Linux but a very basic intro, including the use of VirtualBox and how to do it easily. I teach a very basic into to OS using VMPlayer/VirtualBox and I'm recommending my students to take this class. Great pictures, easy style and well though out lessons. If you are just beginning in Linux and/or Virtualization use this is a great class.

I found this course to be exceptionally helpful for anyone interested in becoming more familiar with linux administration. I would advise anyone that would like to learn Linux from the grass roots level to take this course. Thank you Muhammed Torkey & Mohamed Yehia Zakareya
