Overall, this course got me started in learning how to program in the Python environment, but it could have been better. On the positive side, the instructor provided many examples that the student could try in parallel with the instructor. This helped the student learn the different commands that could be used in Python. This will allow the student to search for these later to learn more about them. However, at times the sessions seemed somewhat unorganized, and it seemed as if the instructor was reading off of a script at some points. For the future, it might be good for the instructor to go back through the sessions and see if some of them can be re-recorded to fix errors that occurred or to explain some concepts better.

it was amazing experience to learn python on this course, as i learnt all the basics things clearly from this course which i needed for my project.

This is a good free course for anyone want to learn python with no prior programming knowledge. the structure of the course is good and you can follow what is going on. However, the last lesson about Regular expression is quite abit hard and it seem that the example is quit abit complicated which could be better by providing a real-problem such as searching email in an email set or URL in URL set. Anyway this a good course for everyone at beginning level to python. Thanks you guys. Good job

Sometime instructor is making typing mistakes way too much and taking way too long to figure out the problem. This is very distracting. Also I would prefer the instructor to make some lecture scripting beforehand so that he doesn't struggle to talk. Another thing can be added in the course is some slides in text explaining the subject. Example what is tuple, what it can do and can't do etc. in plain slide. On few occasion the instructor seems to have been lost what he is doing. Like in matplot installation video, he just finished a video incomplete then on the next video he says last video is irrelevant. Very wasteful.

Completed course. Stand by previous comment of painful to watch with all the errors, typos, etc not being editted out. Visualization and Numpy library documentation is read to you...why? Functions and methods used from libraries without explanation of why you should care. Better to just inbed one video in funtions section showing this as examples of predefined funtions, then point learner to documentation rather than reading it. Why not use previous programs in debugging section or add it into programming section after covering control statements? It's over...done...moving on

I like the high quality of video, the clear, concise explanation of the material, and the very good examples. I especially like the use of SublimeText with it's syntax highlighting and ability to run Build on a script to see the output within Sublime Text. Overall, this is a very high quality course. The only thing I didn't see was any information on installation on Macs. I don't actually need that information since I already know how to install python3 (using Homebrew) and sublime text (again using Homebrew). Having completed half of the course, I have learned several useful concepts such as formatting text using the ".format" method and Object Oriented programming. I have also learned how to use Sublime Text to get input from the user using the REPL package. This is very valuable and useful information that I might have been able to find somewhere else had I thought about it. However, taking the course has *shown* me what is possible even before I thought of searching for it. I am very grateful to the instructor for putting this information together and I look forward to completing the rest of the course. I would look forward to taking any other courses offered by this instructor.
