At 5.2 hours across 105 lectures, it covers the language basics, sets up Webpack and Babel, then spends most of its time on ES6 itself: classes and prototypes, data structures, closures, generators and promises. A short section on ES7 and ES8 proposals follows, and a small React project closes it out. The requirements say beginners are welcome, but the reviews suggest it fits people with some coding background far better. About 62,695 students have taken it, and 3,948 have rated it.

Reviewers like the clear explanations, especially on closures and generators, and they describe the instructor as energetic. One working developer called the jokes a little corny but all in good fun. Another found words like cool and boom distracting. Complaints cluster in three places. The React project uses dated code, and one reviewer could not get it running even after starting over. Section 13 involves a lot of fixing on your end as the course is a bit out dated at this point, but overall if you are motivated then fixing the issues that arise are fairly simple you just have to do a bit of reading around online, otherwise great course, awesome introduction, and kept me motivated throughout especially considering that I do this in my spare time whilst working full time as a delivery driver.

The content is great and the instructor communicates well while covering the important part of the topics mentioned.
Since I'm an experienced developer just brushing up on javascript fundamentals, I find it's slow to explain and sometimes explain way too basic things like type cd to enter a folder.
