Vue JS 2.0 - Mastering Web Apps (Udemy.com)

Good to get started. Knew nothing about Vue or that there was a Vue3! HOWEVER this got me going. If you order it in 2021 - visit my repo or risk being driven crazy by firebase v9. His course is v8. great course with very good practice and I think the most important functions of Vue are shown here. The whole course was a little bit too fast spoken. It was very hard to type and follow the explanations of David. If you think about updating this course talk a little bit slower and after writing some code do a break so the student can catch up.

Great instructor and clearly a great person. I can appreciate that the instructor employed “excitement in his speech” to keep students engaged, perhaps. However, being hearing-disabled (I wear hearing aids) the instructor’s “sing/song” style of speech, along with very fast prosody and slurring of phrases, many times made it impossible to understand what was being said. On many occasions I’ve had to slow the speed to 0.5 and listen to the audio as many as 10 times to finally understand what was being said. This process made the course tedious and time-consuming at times. (Tip: turning on CC helped. Even though the CC is auto-generated and missed most of the domain specific and slurred words, it helped me decipher some of the difficult audio.)

Overall is a great course, it will need some javascript knowledge to understand the use of some elements, or why it is written in a particular way. In particular for Vue, everything is well explained and it is easy to test and see your result live, instead assuming that you are just writing some random code and waiting that it hopefully work

Well, it was my first dive into the js frameworks like Vue js. And I'm really satisfied. My understanding on how SPA works is much higher and I have even my own ideas on some basic apps that can improve my skills (and thanks for additional challenges. I'll make use of them for sure). The last thing I want to mention are that jokes you put in some sections. I'm not native English speaker and I wasn't always able to (fully) understand them but they made me smile each time i've seen them. Have a nice day and once again - thanks for that course!

Enjoyed David's style of teaching! You can see he's a knowledgeable programmer without a shadow of a doubt! The curriculum chronology is well thought through, so you'll slowly but surely get to an advanced level of vuejs. Great course overall with great energy. It would have been a 5 star if certain points, that seemed obvious for David but less for the public, would have been broken down a little more.

David is a great teacher! I took this course as well as his javascript es6 one. I will soon dive into react and most likely purchase his other courses as well. He's down to earth with clear explanations and hands on projects that will not leave you bored with just theory. The vue js projects in this course are incrementally challenging and cover many vue-js topics to build simple to most complex apps, his challenges are worth taking to extend the sample apps, good course!

Nice course with brief explanation but it could be great if the tutor also pointed the materials/codes with mouse pointer rather than only explaining everything verbally. Another important note that without any prior knowledge in JavaScript ES6 this course will be so much difficult to understand properly. So I would highly recommend please take his Essentials in JavaScript ES6 course before taking this Vue JS course.

I would recommend this course if someone would like to get some experience with Vue.JS. Following the steps were not always enough for me to understand the concept and sometimes it was a bit fast. Checking the new features of ES6 is required if you like to follow the projects easily. It is definitely a great course and I have learnt a lot!

The exercises were fun. The class provides a good overview. After building these five pretty cool little apps though, I'm not sure I really understand HOW the vue magic happens. This is a bummer. Still though, the course did open my eyes to how slick vue is, and it did leave me with a set of nice boilerplate apps on which I can build bigger things, so I am happy.
