Essentials in JavaScript ES6 - A Fun and Clear Introduction (Udemy.com)

Great tutorial. The instructor is upbeat and his examples are fun. I wasn't expecting the section on setting up Webpack or Babel, which is a bonus. For people wishing to stay focused on just ES6 classes, you could skip that section run the examples in CodePen or just in your browser's console. I liked the introduction to React, it showed how the different bits of ES6 (classes, arrow functions, promises and imports) are applied in a modern application and made the whole tutorial even more relevant

This course is waste of money. Too short, too basic, lack of details. too quick. Instructor is in a hurry to finish up and grab a beer, I guess. Basically you won't learn anything from this. Too basic for intermediates, and too quick and confusing for beginners. It's a scam in a certain way. 10$ is too much for this. I wouldn't recommend.

I liked that videos were short and talked about one feature at the time. I liked practical examples that were not too complicated and allowed to focus on main subject. I think that preparing good english subtitles would be help (especially for foreigners) due to fact that I had a problem with understanding few sentences.

Having a fair amount of knowledge in JS, old generation, I can say that this is an absolute crash course to get one familiar with new syntax in ES6 but definitely getting to understand it in depth will require further material and practicing of course. A special thank you for the instructor. I loved his enthusiasm.

Great comprehensive course for beginners! I knew nothing about ES6 before this course. Now I at least feel comfortable about the syntax and working with a bunch of different concepts. It was also nice to include babel/webpack to show learners how to transpile their ES6. Overall, great job David! Your efforts do not go unnoticed :)

The course was too basic. The instructor should have focused on some of the concept in JSX and react besides that enjoyed the complete course. It gave an overview of what ES6 really is and how to use Webpack and babel to make the automatic update and easily convert the code to ES5.

The instructor needs to slow down; specifically, when he is writing code and changes between files. The best part of any video based coding course is being able to code along. If the instructor is switching between files and code too quickly then it's impossible to follow along without pausing the video. Having to pause and un-pause the video several times during each clip, it is easy to lose track of what you are doing. If the instructor slows down his speech and does a recap of what he is explaining, it will be much more effective for the student to grasp what is being taught.

The course is just scratching the surfice of ES6 so you can get the taste of it. Very few topics covered. Explanation is insufficient. Most of the time the author simply says what needs to be done without explaining why this is necessary. Nevertheless, the course should be looked at by those who plan to purchase paid courses of this author. Take it as a promo video.

I like the jokes too. Those jokes are not random, it is well put together to help me remember some easy forget concept. On the JSX in React Component, it was too concise for me. I need to again find some supplement reading from the internet in order to understand why and what for. Consider this course is free for me, I give it a good rating. After the end of the class, now I understand why the last part of coding exercise is so condense in material to learn because there is next class to learn more about JSX and REACT.

Overall the course is fantastic! Thanks for this awesome tutorial :) However, I was expecting little bit more about 'promises' (in detail) and some coding practices based on that. Apart from the es6, it has taught me the most valuable thing about setup in clear and concise manner which I haven't found anywhere else. A big thanks for that & added extra half star for this:)!
