yes its been a good match for me, but its quite complicating, so i'll need a one on one close up lecture.

So far I can follow along, I've had to pause the vid cause she goes a bit fast or I've made a spelling error and had to figure out how to edit the files in a note app. Somehow I failed to add the "https" and it said "ps:" took me a few min to figure that one out. But a great lesson! I do wish things were explained a little more, but I do not mind having to discover and learn doing my own research.

It would have been great to record only the git bash window instead of entire desktop with lots of empty space making the part where the action happens so tiny... :( Also auto CC is terrible.

I have just started the Full Stack Bootcamp I like her examples. They are straight forward and easy to follow.

Would be nice to know what the command inputs mean ... for example ls as list, cd change directory etc. I’m very new to all of this and am googling these terms as she speaks.

I quit web development in the first half of the 2000's. Best practices were basically limited to use a doctype so your browser (i.e. IE 5.5/6) wouldn't work in quirksmode, use divs and css instead of tables for the layout, and 'unobtrusive javascript' to make up - read 'polyfill' - for the lack of support of the :hover pseudoclass in IE. No Gmail, no Ajax, no server-side javascript, no jquery. A couple of years ago I decided to start again. Alistapart was like quantum physics to me. The talk was all about responsive web design, nodejs, grunt, gulp, angular, git and what not. Greek to me. Since then, I've tried a zillion courses, but I always seemed to lag behind. As soon as I kinda figured one technology, it was already being superseded by the next. I didn't even grasp 20% of jquery that everybody was talking angular. Then React. And so on. Then came this course. I thought, okay, let's get back to basics and start all over. These guys amazed me. They'll teach you git and how to work with the terminal before you write a line of code. Their focus is on the process of developing more than on the sigle technology. You'll write a lot of code, there are no lessons where you won't write code actually. But, at the same time, they leave no stone unturned in explaining the hows and whys of every thing they touch upon. Highly recommended, for both newbies and old developers that like me can't seem to find a way in the maze that web development has become in the last decade. Kudos.

I was liking the bootcamp until I got to the bootstrap section and the instructor started to skip a-lot of steps on how she was completing the website. It was very unclear where the instructor was getting certain information from and the div explanations got a bit lazy. I would recommend this course for those who are already in the field and may be able to keep up a bit better. Not great for beginners looking for thorough explanations. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to not allow students to not be able to leave comments about the course. It will be very misleading for those who are thinking of potentially taking the course. Thanks for the experience!
