Course Description
If you want to draw people in a realistic fashion then this course is for you. Focusing on an academic approach to figure drawing this course will give you the skills you need to practice to make your dream a reality. The lessons in this course begin with full body instruction before honing-in on problem areas like hands and feet. You can watch the tutorials in order or chart your own path through this course.
You don't need much to get started - drawing paper, a pencil and an eraser will do. My advice is to use a sketchbook and make practice drawings between lessons to really absorb new concepts before moving on. Your progress will determine your pace. Life is short. Start today!

I love this course. It introduced me to a new drawing technique for the head and the figure drawing isn't hard to follow. I'd recommend it.

The course was quick and very (fore) shortened. Many areas that require more detail to truly understand - such as torso, facial expressions, and feet details were not explained to my satisfaction. I did appreciate the gesture drawing section for dynamic posing, everything else was more of a follow-along type method. I have taken several other drawing courses, so I knew what I was doing while taking this course and applied my previous experience to help move with the pace of this course. It was good.

The course isn't bad per se' I just feel its a little underwhelming. I was looking for something a little more in depth and intensive.

The instructor is drawing at an easy pace to follow and its my opinion that following him along will imprint observation skills . Very good advice being given as well .

He explains things very well. Though I would advice only artists with prior experience looking to get better take this course as he teaches quite complex skills.

Great course for a beginner in drawing techniques in drawing the figure from photographs and constructing figures accurately from your imagination. The Lecturers comments on using the negative space around a form is a very valuable, often forgotten technique to attain accurate proportions. I love the inclusion of shading in the finished pieces to really bring your drawings to life. Breaking down the drawing of particulars like hands and feet make the subject of drawing these very easy. This course is also a great refresher for artists that don't do much figure drawing.

Excellent followup to Mr. Hurst's Essential Drawing course. This is a relatively brief study that provides a foundation for the artist to build upon as. I personally came away from it with a new level of skill in drawing the human anatomy after just my first attempts at following along with the instructor's examples. I'm expecting even greater things with hundreds of hours of practice applying the principles learned here.

so far, so good, but I have only just begun.
