I found this to be of very basic course. Before this course, I did Java script course from w3schools. I think that was better than this because at least they showed how the particular concept can be used. This course just consists of different fundamentals that are used in type script, nothing more than that. It is not shown how to actually use that concept in real time scenario or where that can be used. A Java experienced guy need not to for it as almost all the fundamentals are same and same can be done from w3schools free of cost. When I purchase any course from Udemy, I expect they would tell how to use fundamentals in the real time scenario. Otherwise this type of knowledge is available on Youtube or many other websites free of cost. But I found that was lacking here. A small project would have added much value to it. Even if a beginner wants to learn some programming language, I think a small project is mandatory to know where and how all the fundamentals have to be used.

This was a great course for teaching me the basics of JavaScript and TypeScript. (I wasn't proficient with either before starting.) If you already know JavaScript, I'd advise that you choose a higher level course specifically focused on TypeScript, but if you want to learn both languages together, this course is a good choice.

Yes it was! I was surprised that my legacy knowledge of JavaScript was not an obstacle. However I need to find a little higher level of TypeScript than this course. I'm a veteran C# developer and found much of TypeScript to be similar.

I thought the course was a good overview of TypeScript for a developer already familiar with JavaScript. Each topic was adequately explained with examples. I would have preferred many of the examples be pre-prepared, rather than watching the author type them out in each lesson, which caused me to do a lot of fast forwarding. I would have liked to see a section of exception handling in Section 16 and possibly a discussion of memory management and garbage collection.
