Having jumped from Java 6 to Scala in the past year or two, I've got a bit of an understanding of FP, hadn't had the time to have a look at what was new in Java 8 in this area. This turned out to be a great intro. It nicely brought me up to speed with what I hadn't seen yet, covered the nuances that are specific to Java (important to understand) and gave me a bit of an insight into what lies under the covers. And the topics were introduced gently and at a good pace too!

I found this course by accident and decided to check out the content, even though I was somewhat familiar with Java 8 already. I watched the free preview videos and was highly impressed. The video quality was amazing and especially the content. I learned a lot more from his videos than reading anything online. I highly suggest this course for any serious Java programmer. Having basic java skills isnt mandatory for this course but will make alot more sense. Great job and I cant wait for part 2. Keep up the good work!
