I'm a poet and a writer, and truly an artist at heart. I've always had a knack for figuring out technical things however, and have held several jobs as a technology consultant.

Since 2009 I've run a consulting firm in Chattanooga TN helping small businesses implement and leverage technology and the web. In 2005 I became involved in Internet Marketing, successfully starting several websites and blogs since.

I'm highly experienced in Wordpress, PHP, HTML, and Linux Server implementations. I also have experience and a broad understanding of CSS, JavaScript, and most web based technologies being used today.

My expertise in consulting and technology is teaching and helping the beginner.

This was exactly what I needed. I appreciated the in-depth review of the various settings in WordPress. I've taken other courses on WP and each instructor brings his/her own view to the course so hearing and seeing different perspectives allows me to get a full picture and see the various possibilities in using WP for my websites. Thank you, John. You're a great instructor. I'll look for more of your courses.

Very little in the way of specifics as in the functions of Plugins and how to add audio, and video to a WordPress site.

I think this is a great course if you're just starting out. Do know that John recommends using Gator host and I used Blue host, so I would have wanted to know that up front but I figured out how to translate the instructions to Blue host and it worked out fine. Overall good and easy to follow which is great if you really have no clue.

This training is a very good resource for those who are looking to set up their websites with Wordpress. The trainer is very articulate, has a very good training style and gives very clear to the point examples and illustrations. For someone who knew nothing about wordpress, this training has been excellent way to understand the basic principles and methods to use wordpress. Technical quality of course is also very good. Only improvement suggestion would be to provide a resource or more depth into what one can do with plugins - a better top level view of what all one can achieve with plugins will help give a better idea of doing more with the site.

I really enjoyed your course. It was the most informative of all that I've taken. The only thing that threw me off was that I already bought my domain from Go Daddy and my hosting from Host Gator, so I wanted to know how to get my WordPress. I don't want to go through Host Gator and I tried from WordPress website, for some reason it wouldn't let me download the latest version. That's why I took some courses, I thought I was doing something wrong and you guys could show me how to get on WordPress, but no luck so far. But at least thanks to you if I ever do I know how to set it up now.....lol.

I already have a WordPress blog online but I needed a better grasp of the admin dashboard settings and features. John did an outstanding job of explaining the inner workings of a WordPress site/blog admin dashboard! I now have a better understanding of how I can use this knowledge to make sure my site is functioning properly. I am looking forward to monetizing my blog and I will be starting his online wordpress entrepreneurial course next. Thanks again John.

I am a beginner but am getting a good understanding of how WordPress functions. The explanations are clear, easy to understand and to the point, am really pleased with this tutorial

John was able to compile everything I needed to know about setting up my first WordPress account in one quick and easy course. The course is for beginners as promised but it's very comprehensive. The videos were clean, his instructions were focused, and his narrative was consistent and easy to follow. He even offered special discounts to other tutorials and hosting services which I appreciate. Thanks John. :)

The production quality is fine. Where the specifics are presented they work fine. However, much of the menu functionality seemed general and rushed. A more careful evaluation of the learning points in each module would have been helpful. On-the-fly presentations with the errors and corrections tend to interrupt the flow of an otherwise fairly good introduction to WordPress.

John Westbrook's class is very organized, clearly communicated, and of good sound and video quality. I found myself coming back to review the lessons which were set up perfectly for step by step instruction. I really appreciated John's teaching style which is relaxed, thorough, insightful, and clear. I highly recommend this course if you want to get up and running with WordPress right away.
