Course Description

This is the course that scratches the itch!

This is a JavaScript enhancement course, designed to help junior JavaScript developers gain a wider and deeper understanding of JavaScript.

What you will learn:

You will learn ES6 new features like destructuring assignment, async/await, reflect, proxy, symbol, iterator, generator, etc.

Then you will learn the JavaScript object system and prototypal inheritance in the most detailed way. You will learn every method the Object constructor has.

To completely understand how JavaScript works, you will learn advanced topics like thread, process, stack, queue, heap, task queue, event loop, recursion, deep and shallow object copy, etc.

To further boost your coding skills, you will also learn 8 sorting algorithms: bubble sorting, cocktail sorting, quick sorting, counting sorting, insertion sorting, bucket sorting, selection sorting, and heap sorting.

You will also develop a proper understanding of linear and non-linear data structures, including array, linked list, binary search tree, max heap, min heap, etc.

What you will achieve:

After this course, you will develop a solid JavaScript knowledge base and most importantly, gain a deep understanding of how JavaScript works under the hood. This knowledge can help you create more efficient programs and succeed in job interviews.

If you need to learn JS frameworks like Vue, React, and Angular, a solid knowledge foundation in JavaScript can tremendously accelerate your study.

Throughout the course, you will also learn how to answer questions that are frequently seen in job interviews.

Your time is limited, and you have other things going on in your life. More likely than not, you will only get busier as time goes by.

New technologies show up everyday. Existing ones keep upgrading, adopting new features, switching to new syntaxes.

For you to stay relevant, you have to keep learning.

Most importantly, you must do so quickly and easily, without spending too much time or making too much effort. Otherwise, you won't keep up with the rapid tech progress, and your life as a programmer would be too painful as you are constantly struggling with learning something new.

It seems that you are caught in a dilemma where there is a lot to learn but not enough time to do it.

The programming world emphasizes reusing codes. You, as a programmer, must "reuse" learning experience. The experience of learning one programming technology should enable you to pick up another one with less time and effort.

In order to do so, you must disperse the mist and remove all the "unwanted things" you hide there.

The "unwanted things hidden in the mist" are the insufficient understanding of a coding language or framework. You have never dug deep enough, all you have done is copying what the manual says. When things get complicated, you won't be able to come up with a solution.

Curso muito bom e cada assunto tratado num vídeo ( 2 a 10 minutos) mas, as 10 horas indicadas tornar-se em quase 20 horas.

This is a great course. I definitely think it helped me get a deeper understanding of the JavaScript Language. I think the developers of this course should add some projects throughout the sections to get people to implement the knowledge they have gained. Take this course!!!

mistakes in code explanation- let is hoisted. mistakes in pronunciation and subtitles - var is spelled as there

PRO's - instructor is a professional trainer, not merely someone who knows how to code (see Bottom Line); - scope of course is complete; - content really does include advanced topics and all topics are thoroughly covered; - videos have been professionally edited, so they flow very smoothly; - code is not entered in real-time, so you don't have to watch the instructor fix typos; - voice-over is professionally done (w/ generated voice), so instructor’s accent is easy to understand, pace of delivery is consistent; CON's - instructor does not provide a lot of conceptual overviews that explain the "why's" - I think this is critical for advanced topics; - while the delivery is smooth and professional, it's also rapid-fire - you'll need to frequently pause the lecture to make sure you've got the gist of the lesson's concepts – on the other hand, this is way better than having to play other courses at 1.5X speed; - some of the content needs to be updated (although not material to overall quality); - instructor is not responsive to posted questions, and answers are perfunctory; - there's very little student project/homework - you'll need to create your own mini-projects to ensure you've mastered the material. BOTTOM LINE What 99% of the tech topic authors on Udemy (and most other platforms as well) don't realize is that - just because you know how to code doesn't mean you know how to produce a professional training video. Given that this course is both complete and covers advanced topics, it’s most appropriate for anyone who has at least some experience with JS. There’s a reason it’s called “Your 2nd JS Course…”. There have been moments in the course, where I needed to watch / read supplemental material to get a conceptual understanding of the lesson content. This could be easily fixed w/I this course by adding a “conceptual explainer” video at the beginning of the advanced sections. As long as you understand you’ll need to supplement this course with other content, I highly recommend it. I’ve reviewed nearly every other JS course on Udemy (as well as other platforms) and I haven’t found anything better in terms of content, completeness, and professional delivery.

Until now almost everything is not applicable in real life (I'm working as a js dev for 2 years now), because this info covers outdated (

I love this course because I was looking for this kind of course from a long time. Length and breadth of the course are up to the mark. The explanations are quite good and in easy language. I am learning too much nitty-gritty of JavaScript. Kindly create more courses like this. Thanks for creating this course.

Very into details, straight to the point, very well explained! A course I totally recommend if you would like to improve your technical skills in JavaScript :)

By David Hernandez on 4/26/2020

I am not even half-way done, but I really love the course! Most of the videos are 2 minutes long but I usually spend more time with the lesson to digest it all. Here's hoping you make courses for Node & CSS

By Zefirez on 12/31/2019

Half way through the course and loving it. The course is very packed - short, to the point lessons, absolute minimazation of any waste of time. Be warned this is not a "make a cool project" type of course - some experimenting with your newly gained knowledge on your own is recommended. If you want to get to know a lot of ES6+ features without beating around the bush - this here is a great choice.

By Lex Semenenko on 12/18/2019

This girl's Webapck course is the best, and so is this course. I love it from the first skimming through the videos as I learned and understood a ton. It's perfection.
