3D Modeling in Blender (Udemy.com)

The course is a little dated, but a good refresher on a lot of basic techniques. I'm an advanced beginner who dabbles infrequently. I found the course very helpful and learned some nice subtle tricks. Major kudos for answering a question where I got stuck quickly. Because the course is older, I didn't expect the author to monitor the questions that frequently. That was a very pleasant surprise. I wish all authors were that diligent. A good length for a refresher. Nicely done.

This course is very well laid out and very thorough. Modeling can be an overwhelming task, but this course will not only teach you the how, but also the why. Highly recommended!

The course was very clear and well structured. The instructor was very thorough and explained most concepts and modeling steps very well. There were occasions where I would have liked a little more explanation for why certain steps were taken and/or the behavior of some tools or modifiers. However, all in all it was an excellent course, well produced, executed and a pleasure to complete.

Really great course on modeling with Blender. Even though it is a pretty complicated model of a guitar, Chris walks you through every step of the process. Chris keeps each lesson manageable and short making it easy to digest. He continuously introduces new techniques and problem solving to make your modeling easier. I can't wait to try the techniques that I learned on other models to see if I have mastered them.

Every aspect of this course was amazing! the audio was very clear and everything was given a lot of description and reason and looks great as part of my portfolio in learning blender, My only wish was if there was more content on using substance painter to texture the guitar But I did just material texture everything and I think it still looks great. Even still would highly recommend thank you!

This was my second course with Chris Plush and his teaching style is excellent. Even though this was a complex object to build, Chris's step-by-step instruction made it possible for a new Blender user like me to successfully create a great looking Guitar. As extra lessons, it would be great to apply color and textures to the Guitar and then use Blender's motion controls to spin it around in 3D space to show it off. Ideally it would be good to learn how to create a video of the Guitar spinning around that could be sent to others to showcase the work.

Chris guides you in a very pleasantly way, navigating the new world of Blender modeling in simple, easy to follow steps. I am really happy to stumble upon this course after first trying to find my own way around Blender, but only getting lost and frustrated. While modeling a guitar might not appeal to everybody as their first object to model, Chris teaches you a lot of the useful methods you need in order to model a diversity of other objects. I now often catch myself dissecting real life objects in modeling steps when walking around. Thanks Chris!

I definitely learnt a lot from this course and i highly recommend it. My biggest disappointment however was the imperfect topologies that were caused by Boolean modifiers. Would be great if there were additional lectures addressing fixing the topologies of the object after applying the boolean modifiers, as the conventional methods of retopologising even with the mesh machine add on still failed to fix the artifacts, especially on the saddle and nut. Nonetheless, just because it was missing something doesn't mean theres not already an abundance of techniques to take away from this course. 5 Stars!

I had a basic understanding of Blender modeling from following along with YouTube videos, but I feel like I learned a lot more from a structured course like this. The instructor has a deep knowledge of the subject, but the material is accessible enough for those who don't. He was easy to reach out to when I had problems with a lesson and helped me find solutions within just a few hours. I feel like I have a much better grasp on what one can do with the software now.
