Everything in this course was broken down so clearly. Even concepts that I found confusing before, like warping and automation, were explained in a way that just made sense. After finishing it, I finally feel like I know my way around Ableton and can actually create tracks with confidence.

This course made a huge difference in how I approach my projects in Ableton. I used to have tracks all over the place, but now I know how to keep things organized. The part about grouping tracks and using return tracks really helped me speed up my workflow and keep my sessions tidy. Definitely a game-changer!

I was honestly surprised at how much I learned in such a short time. The course really crams in a lot of useful information without ever feeling rushed. One thing I appreciated that most other courses skip was the section on exporting and bouncing your track correctly. It sounds simple, but knowing how to get a clean final mix is so important and it was explained really clearly here.

This course broadly outlines how Ableton works and how to create different tracks to produce a piece of music. However, nothing specific to Ableton 12 is included. The creation part is rather tedious: Martin Svensson could have edited this section much better and made it more educational. In short, you don't learn much more (if not less) than on YouTube. The positive point is the ecosystem, which consists of a group on Discord and contact with Martin, which seems (although I haven't tried it yet) possible. This is the only reason I am keeping my purchase of this course, and I plan to test it in the coming days.

Great course for everyone who wants to start their journey with Ableton Live. I've personally been playing with Ableton for only 2 weeks now so let's say I've got learned some basics by myself, mostly from YT. This course appeared to be a perfect match for me! I wanted a quick and consolidated knowledge that covers all of the important aspects. It actually filled my knowledge gaps perfectly especially in the field of Automation, Envelops and Warps. Now I feel much more familiar with Ableton cause this course filled out my knowledge gaps perfectly! Thank you very much Martin, I'm looking forward to attend your courses in the future. And yes - You will really learn on how to create a complete audio track in Ableton within this course! Worth every penny! Highly recommended. Worth every penny. Thank you once again!

This was an excellent course for me. I have no prior knowledge of DAW systems or even music for that matter. The only thing I would say if it's not already offered by Martin, a super meticulous explanation of all the buttons and usages for each (for people with no experience trying to jump in). The only time I got confused was when I was unfamiliar with the term or section we were working on (this is not Martin's fault this is mine because I wasn't familiar with the system yet, you can do a quick google search to get clarity). An explanation of all the functions of Ableton before taking this course would be great. This is a wonderful course and Martin is very attentive. I had one question during the course and he promptly responded. Take this course!

I was really impressed with this course! It was indeed able to be completed in a day, and seems to give a fairly solid introduction into using Ableton for music production. Martin's instructions are clear and thorough, and I didn't really have any "woah, what did he just do?!" moments. The inclusion of keyboard presses on screen really helped, as there were quite a lot of shortcuts to take in. A couple of the videos start off out of focus, but they tend to rectify within 30 seconds (edit: this seems to be a Udemy issue, it seemed to happen on a different presenters course as well) - it was easy to pick up once I could see his screen properly again. Thanks for the great introduction, I might delve into a few more of your courses! :)

Review in the middle of course: Very clear and quick explanation of the program, however when doing courses i like to do every step as the instructor does so i can learn it completely, this is a problem when a student doesn't have access to various plugins or samples, which i don't understand why the instructor was so keen on downloading samples from a site in the first place, other than that very good so far. Review after finishing course: Like stated previously, very quick and clear explanation of the interface and various knobs/effects/automations and much more which i wouldn't be able to get into without this course. I would still love if all the plugins/samples in the video the instructor uses could be easily accessible to students. Other than that, very well explained and exactly what i was looking for. Will definitely look for more courses from this instructor.

I used the same version of this course for FL studio, the tutor was a lot more upbeat and easy to follow during his lectures for that course. I was trying to do as he was doing moment to moment but the delivery of the lectures and presentation felt quite disjointed at places so I gave up trying during the eariler stages. I waited for the 'build a track section' which was going well for a while until he used a kick drum file from a 'Vengeance' sample pack. Not seeing it on the music-prod.com site I search Google and found the pack cost 79USD ... I expected that the files used would be included with the course (as they were for the much better FL Studio lectures) and so students would be able to follow closely without the need to purchase additional samples to join in as the lectures progressed. I do like the author of the lectures and think he gives some great information, but this course isn't the high point in his Udemy career unfortunately.

It's a nice basic course and you learn to create a track fast but it's just a basic track with many samples. It's good for sure and captures relevant Topics but the explanation and the "why" behind some topics are missing in my opinion. But for an absolute beginner it's OK. But if I could choose one more time I would pick a more detailed course over this one. Nevertheless, Martin is a good teacher and this course was meant to be not to be detailed as much, so you can create a track fast, so he kept his promise. There are also many detailed courses from him on Udemy - but atm not for Ableton. This is why I rated this Course with the Rating above.
