I bought Logic months ago and barely touched it because it looked overwhelming. This course was exactly what I needed. It held my hand just enough to get me going, then gave me room to experiment. Super clear lessons, and I loved that the instructor shared real workflow tips he actually uses.

this course was such a confidence boost. i always felt intimidated by Logic, even though I’ve made music for years. the way things were explained, especially around the piano roll, midi editing, and bounce settings, really made the software feel approachable. already seeing a difference in how quickly i work now.

Please forgive my prior evaluation. I was not feeling well, and it isn't my nature to be disparaging. He is an excellent teacher; the problem isn't the teacher but the student. I'm a retired judge, prosecutor, and private lawyer who prides himself on intellectual pursuits, that is, until I crossed paths with Logic Pro. I grew up old school, and when learning technology, I suddenly went into full retard mode. I think at age 69, I should be thinking of something like using the Zoom H-6 because I'm just too dumb to master Logic and Apollo Twin X. What are your thoughts? Also, I had long COVID for three long years, and it's left me with a horrid case of brain fog and depression. The instructor is magnificent, but even the best teacher has his hands full with a quasi-autistic retarded sort. I play the guitar for 8 hours or more daily, and I don't understand how musicians have the time to learn how to be audio engineers. I didn't say I was a good guitar player, only someone who has nothing else to do but annoy my wife and others. God's Peace! Bobby

Love this course and the way it's taught. There was some audio issue which I thought was my system, but it was the sound coming out of one of the courses. When the instructor was playing back some audio files with the house music loops, it sounded distorted. But that may have been his computer acting glitchy during the course recording. Not a big deal, but I wanted to point that out just in case. I will refer back to this course for any items that I may have missed or forgotten.

This course does a great job of introducing Logic Pro and its features. The instructor is knowledgeable, but I think some sections could have benefited from more detailed explanations, especially on the more complex functions. Still, it’s a good starting point for anyone new to Logic Pro.

There are LOTS of moments where you are doing smth (steps in production) or referencing the websites for free downloads and NOT explaining/showing exactly how to do this (or how to download the free plug-ins; I have searched and not found them on the website mentioned by you). There could be specifics in doing that, w/o which it's not gonna work, you as a teacher SHOULD demonstrate how to do it (if you already decided to reference it in your course!). The same goes for steps/playing around w/ settings, while experimenting w/ tracks. I know you are just randomly experimenting trying to find the best sounding version, but I, as a student would like to emulate your steps (since I want to also learn how to do it!). That's why this is a course for the "Beginners", and not for the intermediate level students, and I am here to learn, and not to GUESS!!!

Clearly, the teacher knows Logic Pro X in detail. I think he should have a simple demonstration of a project at the beginning, rather than simply describing regions, etc., to give students a sense of what Logic can do. Then when he describes the different regions, etc., he can refer back to the original demonstration which would help orient the student to the various function.

Course videos clipped at beginning and end of some videos Lots of terminology is not explained for newbies to DAWS, I need to go and Google the termination used and what effect it has within Logic Pro for example: in what context does "velocity" effect in Piano role. I know velocity means speed, does it mean the same in Logic Pro, Velocity changes the speed? Tempo? Also each step is not explained fully or clearly and appears rushed as if you have already used a DAW in the past. Also, example I want to record acoustic guitar and vocals, as I would imagine 90% of home recording artists want to do, nothing, no course section on plugging in external instruments! Huge dissapoitment! It's good to know where all the settings are and I am leaving 2 stars for that info. I will look for a course, aimed at users of real intruments and vocals and maybe review in the future if I want to do electronic/house music.

This course is good enough for a beginners(like me). But it`s hard to watch this course in a day - 2 days at least. General information is good, in-depth details could be more detailed and more organized. Also the pace of course could be faster. All in all, it`s a good course to quickly start using logic pro x. But not the best(i don`t know any other course, though).

By Timur Batyrshin on 1/9/2018

Pros: Gives great overall idea on how Logic Pro works and where to click. Some tips and tricks I would never find out myself soon and some are quite basic if you have worked with software like this. Cons: The pace of the presentation is quite slow (1.5x speed is perfect for viewing and even 2x might be ok sometimes). Also a bit too much of just reading tooltips from the screen. That's ok but I'd expect a bit more from the course. Not sure if I'd recommend buying it for a full price but for $10-20 it is a good buy for a newcomer to Logic Pro like me.
