Adobe Illustrator For Beginners: Design A Typographic Logo (Udemy.com)

I thoroughly enjoyed this course and I'm very pleased I came across this. It had everything a beginner needs from Adobe Ai to get started. I also think that Mr Paterson laid the ground work for exactly the job I have in hand. Plus it wasn’t overwhelming. A Very well structured presentation and easy to follow. Cheers.

It was a quite "plain" course and didn't mix Logos that contained both elements (artworks) and text. The Logos made as examples felt dull and uninteresting. I'm a beginner in Illustrator but would have wanted to learn to make a more appealing design. Also missed a part to explain the rules of a successful logo when it comes to layout, coloring and elements to create a Logo that "works"/get noticed/impress the viewer. But thank you for the basics of the program.

This course was ok, but I didn't realize from the description that we would be learning how to make just this one logo - wish there was more advice or more general logotype fundamentals. Instead, it was teaching exactly and only the tools required to make the logotype in the class thumbnail. That said, I didn't know any illustrator before taking this course and I ultimately was able to create my own (very different) logotype than the one displayed, but it took a lot of supplemental googling.

Will is an amazing and engaging teacher. Calligraphy and typography have always been a hobby of mine but before this week, I have never made a step into transitioning this hobby into something I can possibly do professionally. I started looking up youtube logotype tutorials and by happy accident, stumbled upon Will's channel. Some tutorials later, I loved his channel and knowledge sharing so much that when I discovered he had Udemy course, I bought it immediately. I am about 75% into the course and I have to say that it's money well spent. Illustrator was something very intimidating for me to this point but with this course I am confident enough to get started and playing around with it. For me, this was a perfect first step to logotype design.

To my mind, it is an accurate and well built course for beginners. It allows you to learn essential basics of Adobe Illustraror in order to start working in the programme's environment. I got relevant experience to the course description and I am totally sutisfied with the information received throughout the course. I recommend it to everyone who is new and has no clue about Adobe product.

I really enjoyed this course a lot. I came into it without knowing anything about Adobe Illustrator and I now have some practical knowledge to design an logo for my business that I really like. Will did a great job of showing how to use all the tools and explaining Illustrator concepts. He also used examples of how to apply the skills to design a logo. This course was extremely helpful!

I am completely new to Illustrator and this class has been very educational. I am learning a lot about how to use Illustrator and how I can apply it to some of the graphics I have designed for some websites in the past to actually make them more professional.

good content, easy to follow, helpful tips for logo creation, finding inspiration, and using illustrator! being new to illustrator and new to designing logos, i would really enjoy a course that builds on the content presented here. thanks will!!

I like that the course contains enough information for beginners but still keeping it simple and to the point. No unnecessarily long explanations of every single tool. The explanations are easy to understand and follow. I'd recommend it to any Illustration beginner :)

Will is great with instruction and explanations. Only tweak would be more projects. Examples of past logos and how to make them. The course leaves a lot to look forward to.
