After Effects for Beginners Complete Intro to After Effects (Udemy.com)

This is generally a good course. The tutor is knowledgeable and the course is good for beginners. The first five sections are pretty good indeed. But towards the end of the course the tutor rushes through some of the later modules both in his delivery of the spoken word and the speed of covering the steps needed to complete the task. This is unhelpful. If you don't want to have to replay the video a bunch of times you might look at the transcript to follow along but this is absolutely woeful. It looks like the transcript was done using poor quality speech recognition - here are some examples of what I mean "I set the turkey frame rate 10 seconds" or "since I will not meet my background again". The transcript of this course is arguably a very important element of the course and needs to be checked for accuracy please.

Bardzo dobry kurs, mogę go z czystym sumieniem polecić wszystkim początkującym jak i takim którzy mają już jakieś pojęcie o pracy w programie. Tak było w moim przypadku. Kurs pomógł mi wyeliminować wiele błędów, które popełniałem i dał wiele pomysłów jak ułatwiać sobie pracę. Daję 4,5 gwiazdki zamiast 5 ponieważ spodziewałem się, że więcej miejsca będzie poświęcone samym "efektom". Niemniej i tak jestem bardzo zadowolony, pozdrawiam autora!

I recently started actually learning After Effects and I must say I was pretty overwhelmed by the program, even though it wasn't my first time using it. This course helped me be more comfortable with the workspace and even though I'm nowhere near being fluent with it, I feel like I could actually do some work in it, which is a huge step forward. I really enjoyed the course overall. The topics were very well explained and I didn't feel lost at any moment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and I hope to take part in some of your other courses in the future.

Great course! Well explained and simplified. Perfect amount of repetitiveness for you to gain the knowledge but also understanding. A lot of pausing in the exercises but that's expected and there's some interesting English (but it's adds a little extra entertainment). He's a great teacher! I would recommend this to any beginner.

Exceptionally high quality course. If you are a beginner / know your way a bit around in After Effects this is the right course for you. The teacher is patient, never blabs about unnecessary things and is always straight to the point. He speaks clearly and the audio and video quality is very high, recommended for any aspiring motion graphics artist!

Nigel went above and beyond in teaching this course. He is very enthusiastic. He provided all materials that are required for every version of the software! He also boosted students' morale along the way so the beginner like me was not too overwhelmed and be discouraged which is highly appreciated. He also selflessly shared his knowledge, trick and tips with us.

This course covered everything I needed to learn about AE with a very knowledgable instructor and plenty of lessons to flex new knowledge with. I now have a very good base to launch from and the ability to take on advanced courses with ease. I also have quite a few projects to look back on that remind me of everything I studied throughout the course. I would definitely recommend taking this course if you've never opened AE before and want proficiency and practical knowledge to take with you in creating your own video effects!

Excellent course. Well done. He covers a lot in this fast paced course which makes it well worth your investment. Don't worry about the fast pace, you can always go back to a section and pause and play your way through to better learn a specific technique. He explains what he is doing on every move he makes and explains why or why not to do certain things. I'm very impressed. When I first opened After Effects I had no clue. Now after a few short days of watching this course I'm rockin' it.

There is a lot of content to absorb here. Andrzej breaks it down well and even though there might be a little rewinding to make sure you don't miss anything you do start to get a basis to build your After Effects knowledge. What I will say I wish there was, was more pieces where there were little projects for you to do. For example when he created the kinetic typography video if we also had to create our own. This would help reinforce the principles he is trying to teach us. Of course this is also hard to do while learning it at the same time so this can be at the end of a section to cement what you learned in that section.

I enjoyed the presentation style and Andrzej is a good presenter and host. A long time is spent going through the basics of the interface and basic functions of AE - I would have preferred it if we had got stuck into some simple projects earlier and learned as we went, but that's a minor quibble. My only other criticism is that there's very little here about video and most of my projects will involve importing video and using after effects to finish them off. There's also nothing about particles but I appreciate there's a limit to what can be included in a beginners course. Overall, I enjoyed it - this is one of the first Udemy courses I've completed 100% which is the biggest recommendation I can give - the Lower Third tutorial was worth the price of the course on its own
