No gaps or guesses about what you know. Details on what you are doing and why.

Great flow and detail for introducing these tools.

A lot of content are outdated and many Q&As not responded to for months 6+ months or more. For those React developers, no hooks; only classes. It goes off track to to talk about MongoDB (not even in the course objectives). Stephen only speaks for 5 mins (not seen for the rest of the course; don't be tricked). The Express.js set up of GraphQL was the highlight for me. It's definitely not a complete AWS Amplify course. He only starts using AWS Amplify 75% into the course, some 7 hours in. This course would good a good starter course for those wanting to know about GraphQL, and an introduction of AWS Amplify and AppSync. After completing the course, I have to study more content elsewhere (disappointingly).

So far so good, takes you through all that you need, nothing is wrong or doesn't work which sometimes happens as these things age.

By Yassin Hassan on 11/22/2020

Very useful course ! I wish you would have explained how to manage the database between several developers and how to change the structure of a database that is already used in production. (Professional purposes #startup)
Thank you !

The presentation is very slow and repetitive. More and better explanations would help, as a lot is skimmed over. The low score is mostly because when people ask questions they aren't answered. Basically, if this guy isn't bothered to help his students , many questions are not that difficult, then it's a low score from me. I'm not all the way through and could be wrong but the React is all old 'skool' class based components and quite a few just render a some JSX with no state or lifecycle methods which isn't a great look, so the React stuff seems dated and not really a good example of how to do it.

Presenter is articulate and not reliant on jargon

I was able to get a basic knowledge of AWS AppSync and Amplify. I think this course is quite fit for me to understand them.
It seems that there are many similar explanation (just different objects) in GraphQL lessons.
I felt little uncomfortable about peculiar indentation of coding demonstration even it is not problem but just feel...

Excellent course. Very complete way to learn AWS AppSync & Amplify

By Aneesh Bharath on 11/3/2020

There are a lot of ways you can improve the course, I felt that a lot of places reputation or corrections are mentioned.
Also, the course is very very slow.. watching it even at 2X speed i found a lot of breaks, and too long to complete simple topics.

By Tom Kopra on 11/1/2020

Great course, I highly recommend this course if you want to learn GraphQL and AWS Appsync/Amplify. I tried to develop some features before looking at the next video to compare a bit what the instructor had in mind and learned more this way than only following what he did. One star get deducted because I think there is still room to make a more detailed course on this topic, maybe including designing the schema and how to make custom queries etc. but overall a very good course. Thank You!
