Course Description

In the past decade cloud computing has been gaining popularity at a tremendous rate. Some cloud providers are experiencing a growth rate of 50% year over year – which is just astounding. And the reasons for this growth is obvious – cloud computing enables ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources which can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal effort.

Amazon Web Services is a cloud computing platform which offers a broad set of global compute, storage, database, analytics, application, and deployment services that help organizations move faster at lower IT costs, and scale their applications.

Along with the popularity of cloud platforms - another phenomenon which has been taking over the modern software and IT landscape is containerization. The use of container technology like Docker has grown dramatically within organizations of all sizes.

But do you know what happens when you marry these two amazing technologies? The result is a massively scalable, robust and flexible infrastructure solution.

  • Do you know what it takes to make cloud computing and containerization technologies work together seamlessly?
  • How do you deploy your code in containers and host it within the AWS cloud environment?
  • How do you secure and scale these containerized applications?
  • How do you publish the apps supported by these technologies?

These are some of the fundamental problems cloud architects struggle with on a daily basis.

This course teaches you, how you can use Docker to package your code, deploy your applications in these portable containers and scale them using AWS ECS service in the AWS cloud.

In this course:

  • You will learn about AWS ECS and how you can configure the AWS ECS environment and integrate it with other AWS services
  • Discuss AWS ECS core features and functionality - in great depth - like Container Agent, Tasks Definitions, Clusters
  • Understand the tight integration between AWS ECS and other AWS services – which makes this a very powerful platform. AWS Services IAM, Auto Scaling, ELB, EC2 container registry – all work seamlessly with AWS ECS.
  • Finally, you will also learn how you can integrate AWS ECS with a sophisticated CICD pipeline using Jenkins.

if you are serious about architecting, deploying and operating containers and clusters in the AWS cloud – then this course is for you.

These cloud and DevOps skills are in great demand, but there’s no easy way to acquire this knowledge. Rather than rely on hit and trial method, this course will provide you with all the information you need to get started with your interoperability requirements.

Startups and technology companies pay big bucks for cloud engineers and contracts with the talent to set up elaborate cloud infrastructure required for today's global audience. They demand knowledge and experience in these cloud technologies.

When you become skilled at these technologies - you can demand top dollar for your abilities.

  • Do you want the skills to be highly sought after?
  • Do you want your career to touch cloud 9?

Did you answer, “Absolutely” to that question? If so, then our new training program “AWS MasterClass: Run And Manage Containers In Cloud With AWS ECS” is for you.

Look, if you're serious about becoming an expert cloud engineer and generating a greater income for you and your family, it’s time to take action.

Imagine getting that promotion which you’ve been promised for the last two presidential terms. Imagine getting chased by recruiters looking for skilled and experienced engineers by companies that are desperately seeking help. We call those good problems to have. :-)

The course delivers what the title says. But the problem is once I got access to their github I had to figure out everything regarding the jenkins pipeline. But I got what I wanted out of this course. It do have is it's fare share of drawbacks. But still delivers on what it says. Content and UI shown in this course are really old and out dated. Explanations are not clear and not perfectly connected. It glosses over the pipeline as if reading through the code. But then again can't expect much in such a short course. 4 stars because it helped me understand thing even though I had to go through their github repo couple of times to understand it

Thank you this was great. I am working with ECS but am new to Docker. This gave me exactly what I was looking for. I would love to learn moIe about advanced Placement Strategies when you start scaling to real load but I got closer already with this course. I also like the passion of the Head Instructor and the funky aspect of listening to an actor while discussing deep technical topics. It's an interesting combination and helped me keep focus all the way through. I'll look into the other courses as well. Highly recommending this one to anybody!

I came into this course with intermediate experience with aws. I was looking to learn more about ECS for a job I am currently working on. Unfortunately this course did not provide the depth I was looking for. You ultimately get a cluster launched with a load balancer, but I felt the course was missing the "why" for why each decision was made in the aws configurations. (This is the thing I struggle with AWS documentation in general). The explanation of the configurations fields were pretty much copied from the AWS documentation. The course level felt a bit odd for me. For example the docker section does not go into detail on how to launch an ec2 instance so I would imagine beginners would struggle for a while here. On the other hand the level/depth of explanation I think is too high level for someone intermediate. Also one thing to note, the course is a bit out of date. The AWS GUI has changed a bit for the services that are used. Nothing you can't figure out, but something to note. I did have some takeaways from the course that helped me connect the dots for AWS architecture in general, but I didn't get the level of knowledge I was looking for.

Content is OK, but with huge gaps. At the end of the course, you are NOT able to setup ECS by yourself. Why? The settings he uses for VPC are not covered, which means unless you have previous knowledge of network security in AWS, you won't be able to create a running cluster with instances by yourself. The same with the security group. These are VITAL for even the most basic cluster setup, so for me that means this course is a waste of time and money. I will be asking for a refund. Avoid this course.

This course is outstanding!!! I love how the instructor does a quick review before proceeding onto the next subject. Excellent PowerPoint slides and follow along examples. I am a visual learner and this course fits my learning style. Will definitely be taking more courses being taught by them.

If you want an in-depth actionable introduction to Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Container Service (ECS) this is the course. The course covers every aspect of implementing a container-based cluster, including load balancing and continuous integration and continuous delivery both manual and automated, of Docker instances running a sample application. I can put this new knowledge and skills to use for a current project on which I have been working, but was struggling to figure out how to efficiently deploy. Many courses have 'masterclass' in their titles; this course lives up to its name, maybe too well. Whether preparing for an AWS certification examination or seeking practical skills to apply to your projects, AWS Masterclass Docker Containers in the Cloud with AWS ECS is worth the investment of your time.

please reduce the graphics, a lot of images and high-density colors with pictures are coming, feel free am saying, also plz explain only valuable thinks, otherwise it will be very boring also our interest will go out. I have asked a question about my doubt, I did not get answer still now, I give. My quisting repaeting once again, without login how you can pull and push doing in ECR , and how can we save that data?

I loved the course, the video and images used are wonderful, maybe I suggest to clarify that the cluster on ECS service is not a cluster is an orchestrator for docker images. I know that on AWS is called cluster, but many times we think that a cluster is an load balancer. Excelent course and congratulations

Was overall excellent. However, there were some minor issues, where the teacher missed some aspects like the IAM rule was used but not shown how it was defined, and the flow of teaching was a bit confusing after 3 section when EC2 instance was again defined on ubuntu, with Docker installed, port forwarded but no Cluster repository image made, however, later image was available and pulled and used which was made before section 3.

The content is outdated, and the visuals don't improve understanding. Additionally, due to the changes in AWS, AMI's, and other operating system related issues, a lot of additional time was required to get things working. Additionally, as mentioned above, the sides didn't help me understand the content. Having said all that I got a great introduction to ECS and could certainly make use of that knowledge. The content just needs some updating.
