AWS SAM Framework (Serverless Application Model) and AWS Lambda is the best way to build scalable, reliable serverless applications and deploy AWS Lambda functions in Amazon Web Services. The great thing about serverless is that you don't need to manage any servers!

In this course, you will dive right in and learn how to deploy AWS Lambda functions and declare and configure those functions using the AWS SAM Framework (Serverless Application Model).

In a nutshell, you will:

  • No longer need to create serverless infrastructures using the AWS Management Console manually

  • Now have all your configurations and deployments in one single YAML file

  • You no longer need to package your functions into a zip file and manually upload them to the AWS cloud

  • A Face Recognition Service that recognizes faces and their features

  • Amazon Comprehend service paired with EventBridge that emails users on schedule with selected news headlines

The content is old and made it harder to follow along. I did like the instructor's voice and cadence. The information was presented well just harder to follow b/c nothing matched up with what i was seeing.

Very good course overall. A lot of details about AWS SAM and a variety of examples. A few sections are not that relevant. Some recordings could be edited a little better and use more polish to improve the quality: for example the teacher makes an error or clicks the wrong thing so he redoes that part but keeps the original mistake in the video instead of just cutting it out.

I am expecting details on SAM sample projects with respect to AWS ECS services like ECS Fargate. It would be better to update that also into this training.

Amazing course! It covers the subjects that I need! Good examples that you can apply to your real projects. I would like to add that Paulo Dichone has an awesome voice and perfect dictation, most of the videos I can play in 2x velocity. Pretty okay course. Most of it was a walkthrough. Rather than that, it would have been good to have some assignments, tests and so forth to actually get us to apply what we learnt but if you're already an experienced developer, to dip your toes into SAM this is fine only. Yeah so go ahead and get it when it's on sale.
