Awesome Course for Learning Spring Batch with Spring Boot. Nice Explanation with Example(Coding Exercise). Big Thanks.
This course enhanced my understanding of the Spring Batch and the entire workflow of batch processing. The concepts are well explained, illustrated and simplified by the author. Thumbs up for the fantastic delivery
In this course you will learn Spring Batch Framework. Spring Batch is an open source framework for batch processing of data.
First you will learn basics of batch processing and Spring Batch. Also you will learn need of Spring Batch.
After having basic knowledge of Spring Batch we will go for Job and Step in Spring Batch.
There are two types of steps provided by Spring Batch.
Tasklet Step
Chunk-Oriented Step
First we will go for Tasklet Step. Spring Batch stores metadata information. We will configure Spring Batch App with MySQL database. At runtime we can pass Job Parameters to make our Job dynamic.
After this we will cover Chunk-Oriented Step.
There are different options we can launch our job. We can use REST API to trigger job and we can use Spring Scheduler to schedule Spring Batch Job. Also we can stop Job using REST API.
There are different Item Readers provided by Spring Batch.
CSV Item Reader
JSON Item Reader
XML Item Reader
JDBC Item Reader
REST API Item Reader
There are different Item Writers provided by Spring Batch.
CSV Item Writer
JSON Item Writer
XML Item Writer
JDBC Item Writer
REST API Item Writer
Spring Batch Provides Item Processor to process data. Item Processor is in between Item Reader & Item Writer. So output of Item Reader is input for Item Processor and output of Item Processor is input for Item Writer.

The instructor demonstrates strong potential, with evident knowledge and experience in the subject matter. However, the overall quality is diminished by the use of outdated technologies such as Java 8 and Spring Boot 2.x. The course requires a certain level of programming experience, as several examples do not compile as presented and need adjustments to work correctly. The QA section for this course looks like it is not monitored and updated by the author. Additionally, the delivery style feels somewhat unprofessional and overly simplistic—more suited to a beginner classroom than to IT professionals seeking advanced training.

Overall, I found the course to be very good. The topics covered were relevant, and I’ve learned quite a lot. However, I wish the instructor would update the material, since there are some differences between the Spring Batch version used in the course and the latest version. This sometimes makes it difficult to follow along directly. That said, I still highly recommend this course to everyone.

Very good course. Everything is well explained with code examples. The course does not cover the latest version of spring batch but it is helpful and enough to get you started. One topic I miss, however, is how to handle multiple parallel steps and multiple writers and processors in the same step.

One of the finest courses I've taken in Udemy. The explanation was crystal clear. I have been wanting to play with spring-batch for a long time and this course gave me a good head start. I saw someone in the comment section complaining about the course being old. If you are here, sure you are not a novice. So do some initial research. Once the initial set up is done, the rest can be followed as it is taught by the tutor.

Really good course with good explanations. However, some contents need updates. The latest Spring version has many deprecated classed used in this course that might take a while to get around (JobBuilderFactory, StepBuilderFactory are not available in the Spring Context anymore). Also JsonFileItemWriter is no longer an interface, therefore we can't directly override the doWrite() method - it will need creating a different class. Good content again, but it requires some updates to the latest Spring version :).

Definitely a good course for someone who does not know much on SpringBatch and I learned about SpringBoot as well there quiet a lot. Course progresses well adding on all the new available details. Would have liked if there was a git repo available instead of downloading contents, and at the end of each chapter you could have made one commit. Also, some insights to best practices would be good.

One of the best course i've followed this far. Usually I have a lot of difficulties to stay focus and to finish my courses, because if its not enough clear sometimes I give up, but this course is really well explained, easy to follow to not losing the learner. I had already worked a little on Spring Batch but without any training and I struggled a lot to understand some basics. I wish I had follow this course before because all use cases are covered with a lot of examples, that's so great.

So.... Okay, the instructor has a strong Indian accent, or whatever, it's perfectly fine. He is one of the best instructors i've found on Udemy. He gives very good examples and tips that really help understand. He's going far beyond the "what to do" basics of spring batch, covers the too often neglected "why" and "what could go wrong" parts. So would i recommend this course? Abolutely!

firstly, i would like to say Sir, that there's absolutely nothing wrong with your English pronunciations. Secondly, this course is amazing, and quite easy to understand. Thank you for the knowledge! (edit) I've just reached halfway thru the course, and the content gets more and more amazing. Love you Sir!

This course enhanced my understanding of the Spring Batch and the entire workflow of batch processing. The concepts are well explained, illustrated, and simplified by the author. Prior to purchasing this course, I was working on some of the spring batch microservices of my companies. I had to look up some resources online to get a grasp on how to do Spring Batch. I must say that the technology is well understood after completing your course. Your course can be a vital source of reference on some of the challenges I might encounter in the future. Thumbs up for the fantastic delivery
