Course Description
Hybrid meetings can bring people together across locations, schedules, and time zones — but they can also create an uneven experience. People in the room may dominate the conversation while remote participants struggle to contribute, technology can become a distraction, and unclear facilitation can leave everyone wondering what was actually accomplished.
Successful hybrid meetings do not happen simply because everyone can connect. They require thoughtful meeting planning and skilled facilitation.
In this Better in 30 course, you’ll learn practical strategies for planning and facilitating hybrid meetings that are more inclusive, engaging, and productive. You’ll explore how to design the meeting experience around all participants rather than treating remote attendees as an afterthought.
You’ll learn how to create clearer agendas, establish participation expectations, use facilitation techniques that bring more voices into the conversation, and reduce common sources of hybrid-meeting frustration. You’ll also discover ways to manage the balance between in-person and virtual participants so everyone has a meaningful opportunity to contribute.
You’ll learn how to:
• Plan more effective hybrid meetings
• Create clear agendas and meeting outcomes
• Set expectations for participation
• Facilitate conversations across in-person and remote groups
• Increase engagement and inclusion
• Encourage quieter participants to contribute
• Reduce side conversations and other participation imbalances
• Use meeting technology more intentionally
• Clarify decisions, ownership, and next steps
• Follow up so the meeting leads to action
Whether you regularly lead hybrid meetings or occasionally facilitate teams working across different locations, this course will give you practical meeting-management and facilitation skills you can use immediately.
In about 30 minutes, you’ll be better equipped to create hybrid meetings where people can participate, contribute, and leave knowing what happens next.

This Course is way better than I expected! was not expecting for it to bring awareness to me personally and improve on things that I need to fix and change.

Some interesting information, definitely useful. Liked that it also gave links to other info that might be of interest around this.

Useful information, but I don't really like the the ads as additional resourcers. Also had to change browsers mid session, video's starting from part 4 did not load (probably not the fault of the course itself, yet no issues with other courses)

Yes it is a good match for me, I have learnt that participants contribute when they are satisfied.

Short, sharp and engaging. THe content itself was still a bit fluffy about HOW to actually do it and more tips of things to consider rather than a real example using a real 'tough' situation to work through e.g. HOW to get a meeting back on track IF things aren't going well besides, do we need to check in with everyone?

This was a great session - brief but in depth enough to be helpful. I really appreciated the energy of the meeting facilitator on this topic.

Very quick pace with robust details about dos and don'ts of meetings in general with special emphasis on consideration for making hybrid meetings a success.

good short and crisp. The offline material helps. It lacked some practical tips one can use if he/she runs into a problem.

The module provided valuable information and engaged me throughout. I gained new insights into hosting hybrid meetings and found it to be an enriching experience.
