I loved this course! It taught me the steps I need to be able to not just create a creature but also the colors and background that go along with it. I am definitely going to use what I learned in future drawings. I would say that it’s helpful if you already have a good understanding of procreate or a drawing app because she focuses more on the creative, brainstorming process and goes fairly quickly through the tools/brushes/digital techniques that she uses. Since I have a good foundation, I was able to follow along fairly well and learned a lot! Thanks so much!

El curso es excelente. Alexandra explica muy bien el contenido y es súper dinámica, no hay tiempo para aburrirse. Solo tengo una observación que hacer: el curso es para principiantes pero en algunos momentos va demasiado rápido y es un poco difícil de seguir lo que está haciendo, especialmente cuando está trabajando con diferentes capas.

I recently took the course and it was an amazing experience. The videos covered all the basics of character design and helped me improve my skills tremendously. The instructor was knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to explain each concept thoroughly. The class was well-structured and easy to follow. Some parts of the course were challenging but not overwhelming, and I appreciated the variety of different techniques and styles that I got the chance to learn and practice. Also, the additional resources that you get with the course really helped me when I was in a bind on some parts. Overall, I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to understand the basics of character design. It was a fun and rewarding experience. Thank you to the instructor for providing such a great learning experience!

A great course- I was 3 weeks into using procreate when I took the course. I have experience with photoshop and photo manipulation but not drawing and painting. I would therefore say I was probably and intermediate. The course was easy to follow and well laid out, packed full of great tips. This was perfect for learning workflow, character design and finishing techniques.

I thought it would be about humans..and i just find it too basic

5 stars all the way! I just finished the course and I am so pleased with amount of new skills, methods and tips I’ve gained. The instructor does a great job of keeping it simple and I loved that she didn’t time lapse her process up too much. She let’s us see her mistakes and process which I feel really helps! Would highly recommend and will definitely be looking into taking more of her classes.

I took this class simply to learn some things about procreate.... I not only learned some really cool tricks and methods (duplicating a light layer to make it more intense?!?!? GENIUS!) but I also learned some things about the power of strong silhouettes and color values. Will definitely revisit some of the material.

Amazing course! One of the hardest parts of illustration is taking an idea and getting it to the defined sketch stage ready to paint. Most courses jump directly to the painting stage or they are heavy on how to use the software. This course assumes you already have a working knowledge of Procreate, so if you don't, I suggest you learn basic Procreate first. Regardless, I love how this course offers an easy step-by-step process to go from concept to a professional looking illustration. Lessons are clear and to the point without a lot of "filler" material to make it longer. I learned more in 2.5 hours than I have much, much longer courses. So, if you want to learn illustration in Procreate, this is the place to start...!

This course far exceeded my expectations! She takes you through a process of developing a character that gave me more than one head-slap moment, since I'm a trained innovation coach and the process is very similar. This course is well worth the money and time! I love the character I ended up drawing and can't wait to do another! I'll be watching this a few more times for sure!

Hi there! I totally enjoyed this cute illustration, I must say she is definitely an "Art Mother" . this course is such a life saver as I have been struggling all my life to learn the Shading process but this has given me a far better idea, which will also help me for non digital illustrations as well. She has explained the depth techniques of shading from newbie to intermediate level. I highly recommend to take his course & complete the assignments, which are definitely worth the efforts.
