Chatbot - The Development Guide 2026 (Beginner + Advanced) (Udemy.com)

I already built a small Chat bot, but I had wanted to take a class by a professional to see what I could improve, where I went wrong, better prompt engingeering, etc. Although this class says "Beginner + Advanced", it's more a beginner-class in my opinion. The prompt/role of the chat bot is an extremely basic one-liner and we're not facing any of the more challenging questions when you want to set up a bot that's customized to your company/topic. I skipped 80% of the class. For beginners, it's a good class to take. For advanced, it's not really worth it.

I liked only the OpenAI Lectures. But I want to give feedback. For Python Lectures, there are no real-time examples in Python Lectures. The objects that are created in Python, if it was named with a real-time scenario linked with ChatBot, they would help us more in the course.

The instructor explains the OOP concepts very well to people who didn't have this knowledge before. It saved me a lot of time in catching up on OOP so that I did not have to take separate Python OOP class from Udemy. It has been fantastic experience so far!

This course is for someone who want to have a quick understanding and hand-on of how to build an OpenAI chatbot with basic functionalities. But after this, you may need to take a serious web development course if you want to go further. Anyway, I have learnt a lot from this course and I'm able to build a chatbot now. I hope the course can include more features like: - Multiple chat windows - Button for Reason feature - etc..

Good presentation of the topic using examples. Of course, the first part does not cover the entire range of necessary Python knowledge, for this you have to work through longer programming tasks yourself. However, the structured setup for creating a chatbot with FastAPI is well presented to at least understand the concept, even if you can't program everything immediately without support or re-reading.

This course gives a good basic introduction on how to implement an OpenAI-based chatbot with the OpenAI library and using the Python Uvicorn server as a backend and the jinja2 template engine for the frontend. The final course example is a basic chat application using standard chatGPT that can be used for your own projects.

The course is structred very well, as first it is giving the theoritical aspect and the same is demonstrated hands-on. Also the explanation is concise and clear, which helped to follow easily. Thanks for this course Roby, I learnt many good concepts in this course!

Honestly this was an amazing course. Eric does a super job explaining all the code as you are working on it, and unlike a lot of other course makers he actually replies and helps address issues. The things that have changed he has updated in the course so as of 2/16/2024 everything in this course is working. I would definitely take other courses by Eric. As an instructor he was awesome.

I tried to do a similar course somewhere else and got stuck in the first steps as the code was obsolete and concepts were not properly explained. Thanks to clear explanations and the code provided, I managed to get to the end and have a first (if basic) understanding of the process. Thank you!

I spent some cash on this class, but let me tell you, it was worth every penny and more. Mr. Roby made everything super easy to understand, and he didn't just stick to the basics. He really helped me out, and I can't thank him enough. I'd easily rate this class a solid five stars because Mr. Roby's teaching is top-notch, and he made learning way more fun than I thought it could be. Big thanks for making this class so great!
