Course Description
MySQL Server continues to be one of the world's most popular, FREE and top databases. Database is a heart of IT which is needed to stored all critical data and information.
MySQL is a DBMS, or database management system. It is developed, supported and distributed by Oracle, but since it is open-source it is freely available to anyone. MySQL databases are relational, meaning that the data is split up between tables. MySQL is very fast and lightweight so you can run it alongside your other applications on a desktop or laptop. It can also be scaled up to take advantage of all the CPU power and memory available on a dedicated machine

It is good to remember the relational database because the last time i did database course was when i was in tertiary 15 years ago. This is a refresher for me as i want to take more job roles in database administration

I have completed this MySQL course, and it is an excellent learning experience. Imran has covered MySQL in a very comprehensive and practical way, from basics to DBA-level concepts. I am confident that after this course, one becomes well-prepared to work as a MySQL DBA and apply these skills professionally anywhere. Thank you for putting the great effort and dedication in this course. Happy learning!

I initially expected Afzal to be more engaging in teaching this course, but it felt more like he was reading directly from the slides rather than explaining the concepts in depth. Unfortunately, this approach didn’t meet my learning expectations. I appreciate the effort, but I found it difficult to stay engaged with the course.

Great course, I assume this provide enough information for an entry level job for a DBA, but more practice and studying is recommended to secure the job. This course covers a lot of topics that some other courses don't. I would recommend this course. However, the installation of MySQL and Workbench on CentOS is outdated. One of the reasons I chose this course was to learn the Linux environment. Having to install MySQL and workbench in a different OS defeats the purpose of me choosing this course.

I do have experience and studios on MySQL databases, RDMB databases, entity-relationship databases, Object Orientated databases and no-SQL databases so these first videos are a little too introductory for me but I know the next lessons are going to be more challenging

Great! I’m glad I’ve learned so many things. I’m a programmer, and I was curious about the role of a DBA, the MySQL commands I wasn’t aware of, and how replication servers work. This course provided the perfect solution for me.

The course was designed just like a wow! understood all the consepts covered . could you add how to migrate to aurora MySQL from on perm server . Or if we can follow same step as used in EC2 let us know.
By Pan Yu on 12/12/2022
It was good except some topics were rushed and the bottom of the lab demos were not visible making it harder or not possible to understand. If the video has been reviewed, the lab issue could be caught and fixed. Overall, it is a fast paced and lengthy course. Perhaps the explanation can be less wordy in some places.

Excellent training and knowledge expertise conducted by Imran and Abbas. Totally recommend this training for MySQL DBA´s who want to take a refreshal of technical concepts for MySQL databases and focused topics about tasks as a DBA role. The description on each training session slide is excellent, examples along the way of teaching each concept during the session are focused, where explanation and lab virtual machines examples and exercises is the best combination to consolidate the tecnical knowledge learned throughout each session. Only issue found is in some particular training session, the resources are not available, however, the examples are followed or shown on screen.

everything is clear and understandable but I wish there would be live support where I could ask about the problem that I face on my computer when I run queries in the lab.
