Creative Layout Design for Websites and Mobile Apps (Udemy.com)

For a person with some design experience, this greatly helped with principles that I was missing from my other study. It will not teach everything about design, but when it comes to layout, it was a top course.

Just speaking to the introduction, the instructor does a terrific job of presenting the basics. The "five questions" to ask are alone are of high value! It offers a clear approach to working with clients (in this case, my wife!). Also, as an former educator myself, I truly appreciate that the instructor understands what slides are FOR! Just enough text. The broadest view possible, and the mandarin-orange-on-black is very pleasing!

This is a fantastic course on discovering the implementation of layouts in web design. I've been a designer for over a decade, but took this course to improve my thought process when designing in general. Muhammad does a great job at explaining each layout type, and the assignments were great practice to really get the creativity flowing. While this course is focused on layouts, I do wish a little more time was spent discussing translating the discussed layouts to mobile and cover the limitations faced with a primarily vertical medium, but it's not a major fault. Very glad I took this course.

Great Creative Layout Designs for designers and developers. The Out of the Box Lecture and Examples were out of my league (think it would be too difficult to code). My main interest is web development. Nevertheless, this is great course and has some great resources.

My design layout basics are cleared here, with some additional creative layouts. Way of explaining is simple and straight. only in 2nd section things have become monotonous(content is great just need to arrange in hierarchical mannaer just like section 3 and 4). thanks for valuable information.

For now speaker doesn't use any visual examples (except the one example with types of content in websites), just plain text with a just a few sentences on screen. No visual points makes it harder to absorb the text, a it's not a podcast, it's a course that must include more visual examples. I've also spotted some mistakes or typos like "wil" instead of "will" or "they might light" instead of "they might like"

I was excited at the beginning of the course because it seemed like we were going to cover some useful information. However, when you get to the meat of the course there really isn't much. The instructor shows you a screen and different layouts but there is no real theory on how to use design to accomplish something. Most of the videos just show you basic layouts and you watch as the instructor moves elements around on the video without any clear theory or reasoning. For example, in his lecture on using spacing, he talked about font size and somewhat teaches the student what em is without telling them that he is talking about em, or how to use it and how it relates to css.

This course was very informative and to the point, with no unnecessary and boring content. Everything that was said cleaned up what I already knew about the design as well as added additional important facts and practices I will definitely use in my designs.

I really appreciated the layout diagrams and real-world diagrams that were used within the lessons. It solidified what was being taught and has helped me to spot out common patterns in day-to-day life. I've also been inspired to keep a "layout inspiration journal" as a future reference as well. Thanks!

This is the 5th course I've bought and completed from Muhammad collection, and to tell you the honest truth, all of them were amazing; I always ended up learning something new that added an exciting dimension to my designs. Not every teacher can do that, and those that do are hard to find. If you can, however, find a teacher that's both knowledgeable and willing to go that extra mile to help you, you just can't help but learn more & support them. That why I bought this course. Everything was amazing, but I especially loved the advance layout section, which was an absolute game changer. Thank you Muhammad Ahsan Pervaiz for another amazing course ^_^
